I really couldn't watch this properly due to the HORRIBLE visual quality.
I scrubbed through it only to see that the quality never got better neither did the editing.
Video didn't connect with the song at all from the parts I watched and the editing didn't do any justice to the song at all.

Such low quality in a h264 encode isn't something you see every day. Try to get your hands on some better quality footage(i.e DVD footage.)
And then read the guides for preparing and cleaning your footage. This will help quiet a lot with your quality issues.

Try to take a look on the guides here on the site, they may help out a lot in many fields.

yea i agree with zetzu. for an h264 the quality was pretty bad

a lot of the parts were really awkward too. i know u were trying to follow the beats by fading out but it looked really weird especially at the end. at least change scenes or something

oh yea u need to work on masking. try uh zooming in to get close to the lines. masking just looked really rushed. take ur time on that.

needs lots of work. especially with the quality. i went :nono: when i saw it.

Live to fight yeah i remember making that vid :P

btw the vidid saves typing it all out

Code: Select all

[vidid]165815[/vidid]

okayyyy.... i watched it, i guhh... aarrgg...jesus f@cking christ X_X.
1. that is categorically the worst video quality i have ever seen. esp when squished into that Aspect ratio.
2. That is also the worst interlacing i've ever seen, i have karas and it is not interlaced that badly, which makes me think 2 things, a. you set up you project file incorrectly and put it as interlaced and b. you didn't deinterlace your video.
3. i'm not even going to bother getting into the lack of sync because as much as it was all over the place it was still hand over fist better than the first 2 points.

how to fix said issues: Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides, no seriously you need to read and use the information in the guide. :amv:

Things i have to say:

1. I agree on Zetzu for the video quality on the begging Bit, But For the karas, final fatasy section i think the quality was Ok (better).
2. I wouldent even think that people would say that the song didnt match the lyrics i personaly wonted to make a BIG change in this project. Maybe if u look at the video agian and read the lyrics im sure you will that it DOES match the lyrics. (bad qulaity for the begging i know but if poeple survived with the sh!t quality back in the 40s,30s im sure you can now)
3. I did read the page about the quality of video for some reason the renduring didnt come out right, the quality in the origianl is better. (i did try all i can to fix it but i couldent it was the best i could do.

Just some things on my Be-half

LOL "Live to Fight" always got me pumped to play Smash Bros Melee back in the day. My friends and I nearly made a dorky tribute-to-smash video with this song. I'll check this out later though.

I suggest you watch this video to see what your video quality should look like for FFVII:AC
After you do, you should understand why it's obvious to us that you haven't actually used the information in the guides and why it looks so bad to us in comparrison :?

@Blaku it wasn't that long ago T_T you make me feel old.

As someone who recently started focusing on video quality, I can say that guides may be easy to get lost in if you dont have the patience. When I decided to focus on my visual quality, I used the avisynth forum and had people check my quality before editing and tell me what could be done to improve it. I did this along side some video guides and followed them step by step when preparing my footage. This guide here is very similar to the one that I used. I hope you find it helpful and I wish you luck with your next AMV ^_^
