Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Re: First Video of 2009!
thank you to everybody who took a second view at this
i realized before uploading this that i'd be raising a couple eyebrows and could easily be frowned upon for mixing in live action sequences. i really appreciate everybody's openness and finding the good in something new

OMG, I love how the real dance and the anime were mixed together. Pure awesome and I love the music!

Re: First Video of 2009!
Really nice video. For one, it's pretty impressive due to the wide range of Miyazaki films and several memorable scenes used. I really liked how you arranged and transitioned those four songs and adjusted your editing and sync to each track accordingly; very well done on the mood sync/atmosphere generally.
I also liked the music, and it suits the animes.
My only complaints would be, that you could've incorporated the dancing scenes better (although you sure get an originality bonus for using a musical in an AMV, I don't think I've ever seen that before); and some cuts/scene changes disrupted the flow a little in my opinion. But in exchange you succeeded to show the similarities and parallels between the different sources.
Overall, great job.
