It is possible, butMoonie wrote:As for splitting the video to get certain parts, I don't think you can do that with an MP4 (most likely you would have to re encode it)
A) you have to know the timecodes - this can be accomplished by opening the MP4 in VDub using FFmpegSource or DirectShowSource and tracking through, taking note of the time as you go along.
B) you have to then use mkvmerge to split the video at said timecodes while it's muxing to MKV. I think MP4Box can also split files in a similar fashion, although I've never tried to do so - the benefit with MP4Box would be that the file would remain an MP4. With mkvmerge, you'll need to demux the resultant MKVs with mkvextract and then put the video and audio back into MP4 with MP4Box or mp4creator (I wouldn't bother going through all those extra steps, as I don't mind MKV files, but I know some people despise them).
Anyway, /downloading.

The file size it's huge O_O but probably worth it, I'll get this after I get back from school.

I did say I was gonna do a remake a lil after the first one was released
but I took so long to do it a lot of people probably thought i decided to drop it.
Also, since it took so long I asumed alot everyone had already deleted the projec files.
SOrry for not asking you.
Thanks for the noteQyot27 wrote:It is possible, butMoonie wrote:As for splitting the video to get certain parts, I don't think you can do that with an MP4 (most likely you would have to re encode it)

I didn't know it was posible to do that with those
Sounds like it would be alot of work to scan thorugh a video to find just what you want though.
Glad you enjoyed the project.Megamom wrote:That was great amazing :O
Sorry for the big fileu_queen wrote:The file size it's huge O_O but probably worth it, I'll get this after I get back from school.
I think it turned out to be a pretty good size for that lenght of video.
One things for sure, it deffinitly alot better than the original 700MB+ version ^_^

Well, that's just the more *accurate* way of cutting the file. You could just take note of the rough start and end times in hours:minutes:seconds from your media player of choice's display and use those instead, although the part about mkvmerge or MP4Box would remain the same.Moonie wrote:Thanks for the note
