I do kinda agree with this. I really love that you added the paper effect, it really made a huge difference to me! But as you know, my biggest problem with the vid was the roughness of the song, so that does say something about your editing anyways, it's the best part of the vid XD

I like the presentation, but some of the movements were too fast and hard to follow and made me dizzy. Overall its probably the best Shinkai AMV I've seen all year coz it was different.

First of all, to everyone who thinks it's going too fast...well, that was the intention. I understand completely what you're saying, but that's how I wanted the video to be - a fast-paced, fun video. Also, I think this helps the re-view value, since you have to watch it more than once to catch everything. Assuming, of course, that you WANT to watch it more than once

Keep up the good work, wanna see more vids like that from you.

I'm sure the whole thing would really look a damn sight better if you used a bit of exaggerated dof blur, looks very flat as it is.

I would have never guessed in a million years that you edited this except for the fact that it had your name on it. It was a step outside your usual box, and I'm glad you did it. It was neat, and the only real complaint was a lack of color. I wasn't a huge fan of the greyscaleness, but I overlooked it at the halfway mark.

Haha, I'm happy you wouldn't have guessed this was mine, since that's one of the things I wanted to accomplish - to make something very different from my usual style. As for the greyscale, well, I think the whole video would have looked way too busy if it had been in full color, but that's just my humble opinion. Thanks for the feedback, I'm happy you enjoyed it!

I guess it was AE, how long did it take you to do this? Am I right, the biggest work was camera movement paths and picture positioning? I should really put some hours into After Effects and try it.

Thanks! Yes, this video was edited entirely in After Effects, and probably 90% of that work was, indeed, getting the camera movements to look fluid. I used Sony Vegas 6.0 to put all the compositions from AE together, and Photoshop 6.0 to do all the image editing.

I loved quite a few of the ideas in this vid hehe (The calendar whew! Nice one). But I must say...I couldn't follow to well (quite a few things combined contributed) lol Everything went so fast O.O I'd have to watch this multiple times to get the full enjoyment. It was alright ^.^ Definitly different (liked the style...it reminded me of something...but too fast) Nice job

Hehe, thanks Liz! I do have to say, I'm still not *entirely* sure what you mean about the music being rough, but that's probably just because I've listened to it so many times that I'm used to it. I think they're supposed to be kinda rough-around-the-edges, but not liking that is perfectly fine

This didn't really feel upbeat to me O.o
Did anyone mention that it was too fast yet? It was hard to focus on scenes because they flew by too fast, even for a fast-paced video that was a bit too much.
I general it was hard to get into the Video, but once I did I actually thought it was pretty cool. Some nice nifty Ideas (such as the calendar thing, that was totally cool) here and there. Yeah, overall it was actually rather enjoyable.
