That was from the "Death Note Special: Director's Cut" It basically does the first 25 episodes in 2 hours. With a special ending, Light is basically yelling at L's grave : "I've won! What now??!!"MiyaDV wrote:Dude, this was awesome. It fit Death Note so well and you made me miss the anime again T_T.
What scene was that when Light was screaming at a grave stone, I've never seen that before. Did they add DVD extras or something?

Ok, time to catch up with replys...
Thank you, I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
It was my goal to give it a good balance of creepyness and comedy, or "Nightmarish Comedy" as you put it.
Glad you still like it
Thanks a lot!
DOOOD! Where were you?! I was totally thinking you'd show up at AMV Iron Chef. Or the AMV dinner even!
WHEW! Massive post end. MOAR REPLIEZ GO!!1!

Let me list this video's beauties.
*Gorgeous Video Quality
*Good Editing
*Beautiful Work of Parody
*Some of the Best Lip Sync I've Seen Ever
*Some of the best masking I've ever seen
*Good Atmosphere
*Makes references to the basic Death Note plot, while making it unique
*Nightmarish Comedy
If I had any critiuqe, it would have to be that a few scenes (Like at 1:18) lasted a tad too long.
It's just plain good people! A definite must-get on my highest of reccomendations.
Thank you, I'm very glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you! Yeah, I seem to like to play up the parody angle in my vids lately. Not a big fan of emo vids myself. Unfortunately I didn't really get to meet a whole lot of people from the org at Kumoricon, besides Guy.TwilightChrono wrote:Excellent Job. A nice escape from all the Emo Death Note Vids I have seen recently. I wish I could have been there though. Would have loved to tell you that personally.
I'm still learning all the ins and outs of AVISynth, so I'm not perfect with video quality yet, but I think I did pretty good with what I hadVivaldi wrote:O_o While I completely agree with your overall points and sentiments, I'm somewhat confused about point #1. The vast amount of macro blocking I saw literally broke me out of it for a second. At best I'd have to say Raws with little to no filtering.
Still didn't stop me from loving it though, 5/5.

The crowd at Kumoricon loved 1:44-2:38. I don't think I've ever heard cheers as loud as I did for an AMV as I did for my chorus of random Shinigami. I felt real good about all the masking and lip sync I did for that section after that reactionMeteor Dragon wrote:Mmmm I downloaded this yesterday? Yea...yesterday..Ok so...I found it interesting hehehe but I liked the video in sudden burst (certain sections). I felt like some scenes lasted a tad too long and at a times the characters expression didn't fit the tone of voice. 1:44 - 2-38 and the ending wereOver all I enjoyed lol GJ

There were some pretty damn good vids at Kumoricon this year too! Thanks!Garridy wrote:Loved it. Beat all them other kumoricon vids out of the water.
Glad to hear that from you KiononKionon wrote:Waaaaaaaaay better than your Excel video.
This showed you really listened to our complaints and made sure not to repeat the same mistakes. That puts you way ahead in my book.
G'jorb.

Thanks! Oh and...Pie Row Maniac wrote:This got a HUUUGE crowd reaction at Kumoricon. Well done good sir.

Arigato!Knowname wrote:I liked it! thought some of the technical aspects could have flowed better ie how about adding in a little bit of facial expressions?? but otherwise excellent waste of time. definite crowd pleaser.

Masks seemed weird to me, though I couldn't help but laugh at some points.
Good stuff.

Was going to show up at AMV Iron Chef but was still in the reg line of dewm. Didn't my friend to waste away in the sun by herself, so I stayed. And the AMV dinner I couldn't do because of pre-made plans.thundercatlord wrote:Thanks! Oh and...Pie Row Maniac wrote:This got a HUUUGE crowd reaction at Kumoricon. Well done good sir.
