  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I'm glad to hear it since I really wanted the viewer to get the theme and be in a particular mood afterwards. Thanks!

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it at Otakon. I did too ;). It never gets old to see my vids with so many people.

Thanks! Twas nice seeing you and Jasper throughout the con. Hopefully you'll both submit entries next year and we'll do it again ;).

This is one of those "you had to be there" things (which, I am told, is now synonymous with "inner circle" -- obviously we can't have inner squares or any other sort of inner convex polygons, and for God's sake we can't have inner concave objects of any sort, as that would obviously be approval of the hegemonic AMV patriarchy) and by "there", I definitely don't mean "Otakon", because I wasn't there. If you don't get it, ignore it and let me have some cheap laughs to justify my pathetic life, which of course pales before the imposing prominence of your mighty existence, dear Reader. Alternatively, you could choose not to ignore this post and flame me for "polluting the thread" or something equally inane. Your choice.
And in all that, nothing about the actual video -_-;;.

...but yes the reason I noted the 'alternative' titles are b/c of you and Jay :P.

Yes, but I wonder if KING PWOLF is pleased? We will have our rematch...someday.

great video. one of my favs. I'll have to download it when I get home. As I've mentioned to you before, I thought it should've won Otakon. I joke about it being my video but in all seriousness I only only contributed a small portion and I probably wouldn't have been able to make it this good if it had been me. so good job pal remember: Dont stop believing!

This was quite good. I had a hard time choosing between this, Scoobs, and the Nodame one for different reasons. I thought the story telling and mood was particularly strong points of this video. The source footage was a slight disadvatage to me though because I have sorta gotten tired of seeing it in videos.

Thanks although PROSKILLZ DENIED!

On an unrelated note, I really enjoyed your entry at Otakon this year. It was very creepy and there are very few videos that outright creep me out so that's an accomplishment right there and the very reason I voted for it (although I realize it wasn't the most dramatic, but again you accomplished a rare feat).

Your vote of confidence is appreciated. Especially since I respect your works and thus your compliment is therefore more appreciated.

As for 'winning,' as I stated in my own journal, I've been 'in the spotlight' and won at Otakon enough times (3?) that it's not a big deal. I'm sure that comes across as a bit egotistical, but all I'm saying is it didn't faze me since Otakon has treated me well in years past. Share the wealth so to speak. At the same time, I felt I had a strong entry in a fairly strong category.

And your contribution may have been only two scenes, but both were instrumental in my video working or not so don't downplay it. If the climax didn't work the video would've fallen flat on its face. Take credit where credit is due Steve.

Well it's meant to be a mood (and story) video so that's good that it well...worked. Thanks.

Well frankly (and this is biased), I felt Romance was one of the stronger categories at Otakon which was surprising given the pre-screenings. I don't blame you if you voted otherwise. There were a lot of good videos (I enjoyed at least 4) and based on Vic's post (with percentages), no video outright dominated the category.

But yeah, I'm about seven years late on the source so I was hoping most had forgotten about it and thus would forgive me. I guess I was wrong :P.

Either way, thanks. Your opinion is appreciated since you are highly critical of my Romance videos (this is a good thing).

It looks like this announcement is winding down so barring any mass responses, I'll let the thread die ;).
