Is It Already Over?

Post by Norbi245 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 12:14 pm

Hello everyone. :)

This is my second AMV. This AMV is based on relationhip between Shirou and Saber. It has some action and sentimental moments.

From now, I may have only hope that you like it(even so little). :wink:

Technically well done, although I think you got a little too hung up on the masking effects early on. I'm going to have to make another go at this tomorrow when I'm more lucid before I can really comment coherently on the structure, but it felt a little haphazard when I wasn't 100% paying attention.

Well, maybe you're right. I think it's a matter of taste.

Hmm... I think the cuts and transitions are synced to the music very well; yes a bit too much masking effect in the beginning but I think that's a minor issue compared to the amount of lipflaps in the video... to me that's probably the most distracting thing.

I think the video has a good concept though - just try to find some shots where the lips aren't moving or use masking or screenshots to pause the lip movements. :)

I went back and watched it again. The lip flap gets irritating, but I can live with that. The segment from 2:45 to 2:55 seems to have some technical issues. Pretty sure I spotted at least one orphan frame and the cut at 2:54 is entirely too hard for its place in the music.

The structure does seem a bit haphazard, but I think it works. I get the impression that this is supposed to be a review of memories, so it makes sense for things to be a bit muddled. If that's the idea, you could have played it up a bit.

3.5/5. Good, but the narrative took me entirely too much work to make sense of.

I think that it's good grade in general (especially for second AMV) :)

Yeah, yeah you're right, of course. I swear that you won't see this in my next AMVs :wink:

Alright, so I finally got around to watching it because my player was doing some weird things... ;_;
I'm not sure what to think of the AMV. I guess it had cool effects, but I just couldn't get into it. =/ The sync looked off IMHO. It was also choppy IMO. Overall, I just didn't care for it and probably wouldn't watch it again, but then again I'm a n00b. :roll:
