Batman anime??

So the other day, my friend showed me this Batman cartoon that I could've sworn was anime. The format was kinda like Animatrix where they showed like these mini short stories. Well, the first one, I coulda sworn the animation was almost exactly like Tekkonkinkreet, and the rest looked like Gonzo stuff.

Does anybody here know anything about this?

I was confused when I saw this in the anime section about a month ago
"The film uses a Japanese anime style for the animation. It is similar to another tie-in, The Animatrix, as both are collections of short films of Japanese"

Its another one of those kinda like anime but not because its not made in Japan shows.

Oh yeah, I heard about this for quite some time. The format is definitely similar to the Animatrix with each short done by a different Japanese director and animation studio (I believe Madhouse, Production I.G. and Studio 4C are involved). Supposedly some of the shorts take place between Batman Begins and the Dark Knight movies.

So it's finally finished? My friend was showing me this a few months ago because he felt i would be interested. Looks like it's worth checking out...i mean, it's batman, you can't go wrong.

DVD release should be tomorrow, but it was leaked ~a week ago.
I've seen it and quite liked it (vote: 7-7.5/10, not sure yet), even if I never was a batman fan or something. It's a good 1h 15min watch.

Btw, I watched the eng dub, since I was too lazy to search for the japanese one, but both exist.

My brother saw the first part before me. He told me that it definitely looks interesting especially in anime form. I've watched the original Batman cartoon before and have been a major fan, so I'm sure this version will be as good as the original. Besides, it's Batman.

ya it was a good anime
I definitely recommend picking it up
