ARM'd Combat and Iron Maiden

Check out these two new action vids from Classic Rock Productions.
For those of you who have said, with justification, that my previous vids were under-edited, I hope you'll agree that I have improved a little.

ARM'd Combat is an action vid about the mecha battles of Full Metal Panic.
The first segment deals with the rescue of the schoolchildren from the terrorists, while the rest of the vid deals with Souske's battles with Gauron and his former childhood friend. The last battle might not deal with the adversary you would expect, but the footage from the series matched up with the song much better this way.

Iron Maiden is an action vid profiling perhaps the only person on Earth who could whip Revy in a one-on-one battle. Just sit back and enjoy some fantastic gunplay set to some classic Southern Rock, bama-lam.

I really enjoyed the ZZ Top one when you posted the link a while ago. I'll check this new version out in a bit. I think of all your videos that i've seen it's got the most consistent and appropriate pacing.

Also, tubby-beardy-biker-rock = win all day long as far as I'm concerned.

Iron Maiden really did it for me. ARM'd Combat, not so much.

I think there are two important elements to a good action video. Maintaining a strong and fast pace is pretty obvious. Motion is the other part. ARM'd Combat had too many low-motion scenes, and they broke up the flow.

Still, your sync is generally quite good. 3/5 for ARM'd Combat, and 4/5 for Iron Maiden. I was thinking 3.5, but with a name like that you deserve another half-star.

Re low motion: This was about the last thing I expected AC to be criticized for. There were some scenes where I had force waves and such set to guitar riffs.
I'd be very interested in which scenes you thought were slow, since that really confounds me.
Btw, if Iron Maiden really did it for you, what does it take to get a 5?

I feel as though I've been cock blocked. Very clearly it says in the title "Iron Maiden" and there's no Iron Maiden to be found in this thread! Ah well, I like ZZ Top, so I'll give it a spin.

Twas quite fun. I enjoyed the pacing of the action and such. It wasn't absolutely perfect, there were a few places where the synch was off. But other than that, quite solid. 4/5.

Watched Iron Madien.

Very interesting choice of beat sync, I can easily say. I really enjoyed it in that regard.

However, I didn't like the huge chunks of similar footage. The entire first 1:25 was in the same setting. I would have loved some varying scenes/footage. Plus, several scenes were WAAY too long.

But still a catch AMV and I really enjoyed in the song run.

I was actually a little hesitant to name it Iron Maiden since it doesn't use a song by them, but it fit the vid so well that I went ahead with it. Fyi, I downloaded some Iron Maiden songs to see if any would fit my vision for the vid, but none had the right beat. Black Betty was just perfect for a gunfight.
I must be the only person around here who'll give a vid a 5 even if it's not absolutely perfect. I'm beginning to see what JudgeHolden is referring to in his profile comments about groupies and free 5's. Too bad that with my gender, age, editing style and song preferences I'm not the type to attract groupies.

Well, you have to understand that the maid was a guest character in the series, and only appeared in two episodes. Those scenes were all there was to choose from.
