"A bitter song"

Post by annyaonweb » Thu Feb 21, 2008 2:44 pm

This is my latest AMV . Actually, it's the last 'slow' one i'm gonna make for a long time cause i need to practice on fast songs, sync and more effects..

Anyway, i kinda hurried it a bit cause film classes are taking quite a bit of time off my hands and i can't edit much lately. *sigh*

So.. I would appreciate some opinions, bad or good.

Thanks. I'll be waiting for some replies. I hope you like it. :)

NOOOOOO Don't stop doing slow AMV's. That was amazing. The variety of different anime fit so well and the scene selection was incredibly good. Don't you dare stop doing slow amv's!!! That is a threat! xD You should work on your visiual quality though. Especially the Ergo Proxy parts were ugly as shit! But anything else was enormously good!

:)) i won't stop doing them for good.. just `til this summer. i need to prepare for the film university entrance exams and i can't edit much so i chose to make one fast vid rather than more slower ones until then cause everyone in my studio is like "okay, enouuughh, make a fast action vid for onceee!" so that's the main reason plus i need practice cause i don't want to freeze on just a style, i want to edit different things.

^^ yups, the ergo proxy parts seem the weirdest to me, too. i just thought i'd put something 'different' in there..
WELL, i'm really glad you liked it so much :) thanks a lot ^^

Surprisingly, this was pretty darn good. The quality is God-awful, and at times it's bad enough to be distracting, but you really set a mood here and use spot-on scene selection. Nice sync, and thankfully nothing too overbearing. Overall, a pretty emotional, nicely-structured AMV. Good job.

4/5

:) Thank you. Yup, i need to find out how to get a better quality cause it sucks.. i converted about 4 times in 4 different formats hoping i'd find a better quality but that was the best i got in the end :(

I'm glad you liked it. I was trying to make it emotional so i guess it worked:)

Wow! I really liked the song and the visuals.. just everything about that AMV!
You did a superb job editing! I really dont think the quality took too much away
from it at all, but then again Im not picky unless its horrid.

PLEASE dont stop doing slow songs! This was wonderful!

That was indeed awesome. Honestly though, as crack mentioned, the video quality really didn't do your AMV justice, for such a beautiful AMV, it's a shame the video quality didn't match that.

The flow and pace was really nice, and honestly when I finished watching it I went back an watched it again.

3.5/5 from me, I think it was really nice.

:) Thanks. Fair enough :) I'm glad you enjoyed it ^^
Sorry about the quality, i don't know how to get a better one.. i'm gonna learn decoding, maybe it will bring a bigger difference in quality.

Awww, thankies :) I will do other slow songs but after a bit of time cause i need practice on fast/strong songs, too. i need to improve in every category not just slow.. there isn't much to improve regarding slow songs cause you can't add way too many effects and too many scenes cause u have to follow the slow rhythm.. a bit boring.. Besides, didn't even take me more than 15-20 hours to make this one. I want a bigger project >_>
