After taking into account the auditions, the games requested, and just what I personally know about the editors involved here, this is what I came up with for placements:
01 (intro) – tentatively goes to inthesto
02 – inthesto – Dynasty Warriors 5
03 – omegaevolution - .hack//G.U.
04 -
05 – kevmaster – Shadow the Hedgehog
06 -
07 – Scott Green – Parasite Eve 2
08 – Aeri – Drakengard ?
09 -
10 – Niwa-kun – Shenmue 1
11 – Undeadborn – Warriors Orochi
12 – Arkada - ?
13 -
14 -
15 – Kitsuner - Psychonauts
16 -
17 -
18 -
19 -
20 – Spatula_Castle – Fatal Frame ?
21 -
22 -
23 (outro) – tentatively goes to Fall_Child42
If there's a question mark in your track, it's because you either specified more than one game and you need to narrow it down to whatever you want the most, or you did not specify a game for the track. Try to get those into me as soon as possible, because as you can see from the empty spots, I'll be needing to do secondary auditions.
For the secondary auditions, all rules on the main page are still in effect.
Rules specific to people already on the project:
- you may take a second track, but will receive lower priority than newcomers (be wary, though; if it takes you months to edit a short segment like it takes me, you may not want to take another track, as all deadlines still apply for either track)
- you cannot use the same game for another segment. You must pick a new game.
- your original track and your second track may NOT be side-by-side, and they may NOT be within the same song.
I should have mentioned this before, and I greatly apologize for not saying it, but all auditions must be posted in this thread. Please do not PM your audition to me, as it divides my attention to two places. For the couple of people who only PM'd me, please feel free to audition again for the remaining tracks if you want.
If there's anything I haven't addressed, let me know.

question, is the rule about downloaded footage about ethnics or quality? if its about quality, and I can find a really good dvd rip of the FF13 and FF13 versus extended trailers released last month on the CLOUD dvd, would that be acceptable?
edit: nvm that dvd had a watermark on the top right, such a shame, havent seen fmvs that good since KH: birth by sleep

@Aeri and Spatula_Castle: alrighty, I'll update the game selections right after I'm finished with this post. Thanks.
@OropherZero: I'm gonna answer that one, actually, since it's a question that should probably be answered anyway.
The reason I go against downloaded footage is for both ethics and quality reasons. I mean, regardless of what we actually have uploaded to the site, the .org does not condone downloaded footage. It's as simple as that. So, even though many of us have uploaded and created videos using that footage, if I don't hold up those ethics, I'm liable to have people getting on my ass about it. Are there some frickin' gorgeous videos with downloaded footage out there? Hell yeah. Get the first indirect link. But it's the idea that I should be holding up that's important.
However, there are some very ugly game rips out there, and I've seen all too many of them and know many sites from which to download them, so it's better if I encourage self-capturing or ripping. But if a certain someone had beautiful quality downloaded footage, and cropped off a certain watermark so I couldn't see, and I ultimately couldn't tell the difference, who am I to argue? >_>;;
@omegaevolution: alrighty. Thanks for giving me a heads-up, and I hope everyone else does the same if they have a similar situation down the road. It sounds like you'll be getting back a week before the first beta deadline, so if you're not quite ready by then, I'll understand. If you aren't, just remind me about the vacation so I remember that that was the reason, 'kay?

@Kit: as much as that scares me, I think it's oddly possible to combine that song and that game. Consider yourself on the secondary audition train.
Also, Fall_Child42, our resident outro editor, has requested something. He wants death sequences from your games. For folks that are ripping, you're probably out of luck, as most games don't include cutscenes for death (and I'm not talking about the Game Over screen, either). For folks that are capturing, while you're capturing the rest of your game, do me a favor and add in a few fun deaths. If you know of some site (probably a fansite for the game) where they have captured stuff like that or would be willing to do so, I would encourage you to seek them out and make a request. I'll be doing that myself as much as I can, but for games I haven't played, I'm really hoping that you guys know better fansites.
Remember that this is all in the effort of making the MEP look that much slicker and more personalized to each editor, so it's in your interest do try your best with this.

Actually
The game over part ... or the end game sequence would be helpful as well ... or at least the near end cut scenes ... anything that screams "the end?"
