Hey ulty, just letting you know I changed my mind what tracks I want. Can't believe nobody's even touched this song yet. :o

Since I've somehow managed to pick the three most popular tracks, I looked through the other sections again and decided to change my top picks.

1: Track 20
2: Track 09
3: Track 14

As for the sources, I want to use either Fatal Frame 1, 2, or 3 for any one of them.

BUT

I've also got Clock Tower 3 at my disposal, too.

EDIT: Unfortunately, I can't seem to get anything off of Silent Hill 3 (it might all be in-game cutscenes) and I'm still looking for a way to rip the Final Fantasy games I have.

the resident evil 4 track O:
ugh yea this.... me working on action

yea about a track ugh, I don't have the slightest clue.... I mean I could work with all of them ugh.....
Well okay >_> I'm gonna just list some games and maybe you could assign me a track?
Another thing, I don't really want to work on an heavy action track, like that last prophets song there D=

Games I'm able to rip:
Parasite Eve 2 (Well I'm most tempted to use this, I might use Parasite Eve 1 as well if I get my hand on the game somewhere >_>)
Fatal Frame 1
Final Fantasy 9 (Ugh I know >_>)

Games I'm willing to capture:
Resident Evil 1 (Remake)
Devil May Cry 3 (I know this calls for Make a Move >_>)
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

Others:
I would be able to use Halo 1 and Halo 2, but I don't know if you would allow that O:

Yea I'm pretty much limited to my games...
*sighs* If I find more games I'll let you know D=
I also hav no fucking clue what would fit to take a picture (well Fatal Frame, but would it work with the mood?). If I would know something fitting I would take up a track there >_>

Due to the circumstances, most time I have to do with my studies right now. The little time I got left I have to finish other stuff currently running. That's why I'm sorry that I can't audition, although I wrote I am willing to. But I will observe the thread - maybe there's something I can do, when I have more time left.

Regards ~Tom

Well, it was actually the intro that I wanted someone to sign up for, but then again... your videos have never disappointed me in terms of creativity, so I'd be an idiot to say no to the offer. Since I have no better idea (and I was the one who was going to edit the outro anyway), it's yours. I trust you and your editing, although if you intend to have background music, we may have to sit down and discuss that. >_> Ah, but I guess this means that I may have to do the intro if you're taking the outro. Crap. Frame-by-frame Photoshop editing, here I come~! -_-
be a dear and pick some tracks for me please... I just can't decide on 1 track!!
I'm gonna just list some games and maybe you could assign me a track?
No and no. For me, these are great, big, flashing red warning bells. You guys say, "I could work with any of the tracks," or, "I like them all, so I can't decide," and I do completely think you're being truthful about that, however... this is why I feel many MEPs fall flat during editing. Too many people are throwing any random source with any song, regardless of whether or not they think it will work. Editors then can't make a connection between the sources, so they just load it down with meaningless, but pretty scenes or effects, which ultimately results in average to mediocre tracks.

Also, this ties in with people who say, "It doesn't matter what track I get, because I'm using such-and-such game anyway." Please consider that statement, because it also says part of the time that you're not making a connection between the sources. Is it possible that the same game really could work for many tracks in the project? Of course. I won't argue that - but some people are falling into that rut similar to the "assign me any track" one.

So, for the guys who asked me to assign them a track, the answer is no. However, please do post again once you've decided what you want.

Hey, no problem. I'm sure there will be an FMV3 to look forward to someday. :P

For a few other things...

Auditions are closing soon, and I'm feeling like not all of the tracks are going to be filled. If this happens, the "back-up editor" auditions may very well become a second round of auditions for the unclaimed tracks. If it really comes down to it, I may pick up a track myself, although I'd rather not. Also, I'm considering allowing the selected project editors to pick up more than one track if the second round of auditions happens and doesn't go well. Just know that all of the same deadlines would apply, so if you're a slow editor by nature (like me), taking more than one track could be very bad.

Again, please attempt to rip or capture your games sometime soon so you know whether or not it can be done. Getting VG footage isn't the same as ripping an anime DVD, so you're going to want to make sure it works before you commit to using a certain game - and then realizing just before the first deadline that you can't do anything with it.

Oh, almost forgot. This is an important one. I've had a few people say that they'd want to use multiple games out of a series. Remember that the rule is one game per editor, so even if it's games from the same series, I only want you using one of them. If you're wondering why I'm doing it that way, it started back in FMV1. I knew from the start that I was planning on doing more than one FMV project, and if I let people take multiple games and then said "no duplicates between projects," that really drains the pool of available games quickly. I know full well that some games only have one or two cutscenes (the remakes of the old Final Fantasy games are an example of this), and using them solo would be hard, but it would be even harder to use them all, because that would disqualified them all for the next project. Most likely the FMV MEPs are going to be a trilogy, so when FMV3 rolls around, I'll probably allow editors to go nuts with multiple games.

Aside from that, if there are any questions I haven't answered, let me know.

Just letting everyone know that I'm currently downloading all of the audition videos and I should have gone through and picked places by Monday at the latest.

Since not all of the tracks were picked, it looks like I'll be opening up secondary auditions. More details and rules regarding that once the placements have been announced.
