I had some problems liking it like some of your other vids but generally I enjoyed it

I still haven't seen Evangelion though O.o Please, shoot me.

It was a nice exploration of a relationship. There wasn't much more to it though, at least for now that I haven't seen the anime.. I'm not quite getting your clip selection. It was like watching some scenes picked from here and there but there wasn't much of progress in the story. Or at least I couldn't see it. But the mood sync was very much right on, which was a particularly important step from the mainstream.. The ending part was my favourite.

You put so much thought in your videos but I couldn't really see it here. Blame it on my unfamiliarity with the anime?

Anyhow, nice job

omegaevolution wrote:you almost lost me there Sky... . I really can't believe you wrote something so rude even if it may be true :/. Just saying that the idea was inspired by that video was enought, you didn't had to say that practically his/her video "sucked" (even if t may be true). Just ask yourself if you would want someone to say that about your vid in the vid description of a better version of your idea without much credit than reading that :/. I at least would be pissed off badly. Now if you got his permission or something to say that then ignore this  .
I've never been one to beat around the bush omega, you should know this by now. If he, someone who has never posted on the forums in his three years of being a member, manages to find my video and complains that I said his video from two years ago sucks, then maybe I'll change the wording, but until then I'm not changing anything :| Simply saying that this video was "inspired by" his is not entirely true, and my main motivation for making this video was because I did not think that Miracle_Falcon's video was good, period. If anything this video was inspired by my disdain for his. I'm not going to pretend it was anything different.

Good video man, I just wish you used the remastered footage. 4/5 this video makes me want to check out the band now.

Damn Crackz...you have finished 3 vids before I can finish mine =p

Just lazy~

Fun Vid man. I was half expecting to not see ANY eva's in it fighting but towards the end they were shown. I rather liked the zooming and sliding to the beat, I think you did that well.

The only thing I was somewhat lost on was the random fighting with the evas...whatever makes her happy right?

True...if you watch the Anime you will realize how hard pressed you are to find scenes that work with these two characters.

 A philosopher who enjoys anime and hasn't seen Evangelion? That's quite surprising, you should really watch it, I'm pretty sure you'd have thought orgasms. Anyway, I actually will say that if you've seen the anime, you'd probably enjoy the video very much more. It kinda relies on familiarity with Asuka and Shinji's characters.

Great '90s alt-rock

That's my justification for it, anyway :P

Thanks everyone for the replies!

Oh boy, I've got a lot to say about this one. Expect a long-winded op in the near future.

This is bad news.

As for me, I liked it a lot for the first 2/3 thirds or so. Once again, you impress not with your concept, but your execution. Zooming has been done before, but having on screen come in before zooming inside just gives it a whole new perspective. And the profile is interesting. You match the song well, and I was even feeling the Eva scenes, until you MURDER HER. The song isn't even sad at that point dude! And then you pretty much end on the guy choking her, when she's already been MURDERED. Now, I'm all for non-linear story, but when you murder a character, even if it's not explicit, you can't just bring her back without any connectors. Not to mention that again, such a depressing ending doesn't match the song's mood at all, and seems more to reflect yours.

The editing seemed to drop some polish in the last third as well, as you went for a lot of cheesy, drama-destroying sync (think the spikes synched to the drumroll. Ugh). The guitar-synching outer border also was completely pointless. The recent obsession I've noticed you getting with sync is not something I'd consider healthy, but hey, you know what you're doing, and you'll figure it out. Your flow is good enough that you don't need cheap tricks though
