Hey I recongize one of the videos in the info page
I downloaded this much eariler today before you had the info up and I'm glad to see that you made an announcement. Anyway when I 1st watched it I was like "What's with the long intro?" but it clicked very soon what was going to happen.
The mood-sync is just wonderful and the sence seletion was very well done for what you wanted to tell and it gives that desspressed and other world feeling. I also like the music choice. The wings were nice and really spoke out loud about the story. Some of the lines could have been worded differently imo but it's no big deal.
The only thing I didn't like was that you showed her get hit, I'v seen many of the GWLTT vids end that way and I personaly hate that sence of the movie, why I do understand why it was there but I think many people would have known she was going to get hit without showning it, the name with the year of brith and death was neat, agian like the wings spoke out loud about the story. Sorry if what I'm saying doesn't make much sense
Anyway great job on this one it's a keeper

Concept was -awesome-. And I'm not just saying that, this was unbelievably original and creative. I liked the addition of the wings, though sometimes they looked a little weird.
What kinda ruined it for me was the text. I don't know, the writing was just not very good. I honestly don't know what you could have done differently to make it better, but the writing just seemed kind of amateurish to me. I also didn't like the whole "See for yourself" sequence, it didn't make sense to me.
Besides those two points (which actually were quite a hindrance), this was a very neat video. The quality is superb and the effects looked great.
3.5/5

Hmmmmmm
The concept was cool, the additions were also cool, but given such a long intro and build-up... I kinda felt like it was a let-down at the end... it seemed like such a much larger build-up without anything special happening at the end, just the abrupt crash. Not really sure where else you could've taken it, perhaps a more subtle way of showing her demise, or at least, some kind of lesson that she learns before the crash at the end..

The wings were the most troublesome part, they still turned out a little stiff, but funy?! xDNiwa-kun wrote:umg
EDIT: It looked good, kinda liked the concept =OO but damn those wings looked funny XD
Glad to hear the atmosphere worked the way I planned. I would recommend watching the anime - one of the good anime movies lately, taking 5cmps in consideration.SSJ3 Son Jp wrote:Even though I missed out on deshi's latest work, I'll download this to see what its like. ^_^
edit: That was most definently some hawt stuff right there. I loved the suspension especially since I haven't seen this anime before. Definently a keeper.

Sure hope you weren't. Quite possible tho. xDKnX wrote:So I've made a beta test 0.o

I'm pleased to hear the concept worked with you. The concept of the video itself limits it's reviewability, the first impression is more like the thing I was after here.Pas1990 wrote:/gets
Twas a good watch. Not exactly something I'll be watching over and over, but the concept was bloody neat and you executed it well.

Yes, it is true the video starts a little slow, that was one thing I couldn't get around. The intro is necessary for the first watch, especially for the people that haven't seen the anime. Skipping that next thime is the only thing I can think of. xD Actually I was expecting people to be commenting on how bad and stiff the wings looked, I'm pretty surprised you liked them.Epical Zamora wrote:That was pretty unique. At first I was thinking how ridiculously long the intro was. Then I realized this wasn't a basic AMV.
An interesting re-take of the story. I liked the wings, that looked very cool. What was that filter you used around 2:28 or so? I liked the look of the whole video, very stylized. I did get very bored until the dialog appeared though. It was way too slow on the pickup.

What was Bakadeshi's latest? Did he make a GWLTT vid?

Thanks! The point of doing AMVs is for the other people to enjoy them after all.Fizziks wrote:This was very interesting video with a pretty cool concept, and overall I enjoyed watching it. Great work!

The wording was one of my biggest concerns about the video, and that is why I made the WIP topic, but none of the participants mentioned anything about the text itself, so I left it that way. Don't worry, you do make sense. Skipping the trainhit part is a pretty interesting idea, but to he honest I didn't think of that before. Glad you liked it. ^^miss sakura-san wrote:Hey I recongize one of the videos in the info page![]()

About the writing - same as above. About the "See for yourself" sequence - that was one of the parts when I runned out of gas and was waiting for the song to go off, so this really is more of a filler part. I'm pleased to hear you found the video interesting. ^^CrackTheSky wrote:Concept was -awesome-. And I'm not just saying that, this was unbelievably original and creative. Well the only lesson she learned after all of this is... that she got pwnd. xD Sorry for the dissapointment, hope my next video is better.Koopiskeva wrote:Hmmmmmm

I've seen the beta of the video and I was impressed with the video itself.
My critique:
The video quality was quite amazing. I don't think there was any error in that.
The concept of the video was well executed. I loved the theme, and I loved the text displaying the theme. The wings attached to the guy (in my opinion) were hawt stuff until he was walking down the school hallway. I think that it could have been tighterly synced with him. I was also slightly dissapointed with the ending (but that's just me). I was hoping that maybe she could have been given a second chance? Nah! ^_^
It was an appropriate length to tell the story, and I believe this video was very well executed.
