I disagree on saying that the ball was dropped on this one, Its just a different kind of project than the first one was, so of course there will be some who like the first one better and some who like this one better. Its a matter of personal taste. Frankly, we don't need another one exactly like the first one since we have the first one for that purpose, so I don't see where all the complaints that it should've been more like the first one are coming from.
Also Ayumix has always been a leave it up to the editors to showcase their individual style, so I never dictate to the editors how they should edit, I only make them fix technical stuff.
As for the mix, to be honest, I'm not totally 100% happy with it either, I just couldn't find material as varied as the first one that would work well together in the mix, so I did the best I could with what was available. for this reason, I am thinking of not doing another ayumix and perhaps instead opening it up to more asian artists than just ayu. (Asiamix?)Ofcourse this may change if Ayu suddenly comes out with a kickin new cd with material that just begs to be used.
My favorites in the project were probably Battos, Krats, Kisanzis, Mamos, and Reigna/Aerialisques, but I enjoyed everyone of them very much. I personally thought this project came out very well even with the things I am not completely satisfied with, and am personally satisfied with the result, Though I do agree this is probably best enjoyed in a con setting than infront of the PC. It just looks and sounds alot more awesome on the big screen with volume cranked up.
On a side note: Thats the godix I know
I threw in that upskirt shot just for ya.

Oooo, now that would be intriguing. Any particular artists you have in mind?Bakadeshi wrote: I am thinking of not doing another ayumix and perhaps instead opening it up to more asian artists than just ayu. I agree with Deshi. although I do like my track better....and I should of took two parts of rotoscoping out....I knew I should of. and i should of done something else with the gradient type rotoscoping...if only I wasnt so busy with school and homework, and other things that have been going on in my life, I would of tried something else on what deshi suggested...Bakadeshi wrote:I disagree on saying that the ball was dropped on this one, Its just a different kind of project than the first one was, so of course there will be some who like the first one better and some who like this one better. as for the people saying crap about this mep, I dont care. as long as the editors enjoyed their work thats fine with me. I enjoyed working on this. And plus it shouldnt matter if a video has effects or no effects, it deals with how people's editing style is more than just having it be like every single eye candy effects videos out there. If people cant say anything nice they shouldnt say anything at all in my opinion..but u know people...they have to start drama anywhere they can.
And that is all I have to say. Im not even going to bother reading after this post.

That was very good. One of the most cohesive MEPs I've seen. It was also great to see so many under-used anime in this AMV. The mid-tones in the audio seemed to have dropped out completely early on so it sounded kind of muffled to me, but it could just be the version I downloaded and/or my player. In any case, I loved it!

well, in the words of deshi, "its hard to make a second to anything to beat the first, especially when its loved." I personally think the second one surpasses the first one by far, but im not surprised many people didnt like my track cause i had to edit at lightspeed in one month after losing my old one.SacredArrow18 wrote: as for the people saying crap about this mep, I dont care. as long as the editors enjoyed their work thats fine with me.
