New video: Summertime Guilt

Post by Alternababe » Sat Nov 24, 2007 9:14 pm

It's been so long since I've done one of these.....Lessee, this is a somewhat ironic video about a bunch of people enjoying summer, and then others, like myself, who prefer to stay indoors. There's fun, fanservice & Devo. That's right, DEVO!

Here's hoping you guys enjoy it. I know it's a little unseasonal, but Ive never been one to be punctual ;)

Knowname - didn't know that about a pic.....
awesomely huge concept!? cool, glad you think so. Thank you for responding

Jaddzia - Yeah, it's been over a year since my isp kicled me off. I'm on my Mom's pc rite now, but yea.

You're right (both of you), the video quality sucks at times. From now on, I won't use imovie to edit. Dv is not a lossless codec, dammit!

okay, I had to get this when I saw it had a Devo song (not many of us spuds still around) and even had to download a different player to play the mov file too :)

1. I don't know if it's just me, but there seems to be some audio clipping going on - the highs are getting cut off and replaced by 'ticks' instead which annoys me to no end (especially to a song I love)

2. there seemed to be some aspect ratio problems within the video - people looking too skinny or stretched out. Again, that might be me, but wanted to bring that up.

3. I'm not sure if it's a timing issue or what, but it seemed that there was a problem with sync - where images on-screen would be off-sync by like a sec or so. For example, the lyric 'comb your hair' happens after the image went by on the screen a sec or so ago, not sure if that was intentional or an error in the final encode.

4. it seems that there were several cases of interlacing occurring.

If you were on a PC, I could give you specifics on how to change / correct all these items, but as you're on a Mac, I'm at a lost other than pointing them out.

good luck!
