New video, new member

Well hi everyone...this is the first video I have ever submitted here! I'm kinda nervous about comments since it's kinda amateurish; I made this when I was like 15 or something but I had some pretty good ideas I think! I'm particularly proud of the instrumental bit of the song. I think I played around with the images and ideas in a pretty interesting way. So if you can get to that part of the song (the 1:00 mark) without wanting to gouge your eyes out due to the sub-par video and and audio quality then, thanks in advance!

I have this CD. Don't really like it, but making a video to any Trail of Dead song has to be interesting. I'll get this when I can and comment later.

Okay Quality was meh average oO
So I put it on my PSP and there it was looking neat XD
Okay as for the song, didn't really like the vocals ---> leads to: that I didn't like the beginning or the end for your Video =P

As for the instrumental part in your Video....
Damn I reall like instrumental stuff...
Your sync was actually quite nice in that part

Well I liked the first half of the middle part quite more than the second....
I really liked the sync to the drum beats, don't know right know wich time stamp :O

Okay Overall:
I smell potential there, hope to see more from you =P
As for the Video, well I can't really say that I enjoied it, I will keep it a few weeks on my PSP and I'll see what happens to it
Another note: NGE is overused, well that doesn't mean its bad.... It only means you need to have a fucking great idea on making an AMV to it to keep your originality =P

As for effects:
Didn't really recognize much, I blame the Quality =P

As for Quality issues:

Ok, as for the AMV, I can't say that I loved it. I mean, considering the overall bad quality (visually) of the AMV itself, I was really disturbed by some of the filters/effects and transitions you used, which just made it really hard to see to the point where it was painful for me to watch.

I presume the 320 x 240 res was because you uploaded it to noobtube? tsk tsk.

I also don't really understand what kind of story you were trying to tell, apart from the relationship between Shinji and Rei (although that may be due to these cool pills I found on the street...)

Also, there was a fair amount of lip flap at points which I felt could have been easily removed.

Song was alright, I definitely enjoyed the instrumental part of the AMV more than when there was singing. You controlled pace pretty well, and unlike so many first time editors, I was impressed that you had taken to time to select a great deal of footage and switch between scenes regularly, which is great.

The main thing that bothered me was the length of the AMV, the video quality and the effects.

However, you have demonstrated some nice editing skills, and although some parts of the sync were off by a bit, overall I think you did an ok job on this.

Honestly, I don't think I will be watching this too many times over, but for a first attempt, I'm rather impressed.

3/5 from me, I really hope you can pick up the video quality in the future

Actually, no. It's not on noobtube. I was just starting out, and I had a really crappy PC and therefore I used the default option on my antiquated Adobe Premiere 6.0. I didn't bother to try too hard compressing either, these things were very unfamiliar to me back then.

Even though I wasn't too familiar with the AMV community when I made this, I knew NGE would be extremely overused, therefore I expected very few people to take the time to take a look at this but I'm glad a few did.
You've all been helpful.
Oh, as for what I was trying to show, >.> I dunno. I think I was (mostly) trying to see if I could subtly hint at what Shinji's feelings for Rei could be. I believe there's something defiantely there. (Fear? Attraction? Fascination?)
All pretty interesting emotions to play on...
