See, I guess I didn't get that when I watched it. Now that I understand what he was going for...it seems pretty cool.

I can also understand why people would think it's boring...

What godix said is percisely true, I had orginally intended for lain to be on the internet watching survailance cameras following people around. i was going to show big dramatic and violent scenes until i thought to myself that wouldn't happen and if you were watching random people on the internet without your knowledge you'd most likely see them walking around and doing normal activities.

I was pretty sure nobody would get that connection, but godix when he watched my beta hit the nail on the head. (each of the sets of numbers correlate with a specific character)

but yes it is really really slow

I actually liked your track a lot. It took me the 2nd watch through to realize the number correlations to the different characters, but I DID end up getting it eventually...and the end still had a "whoa im being watched...creepy >_>" factor to it. :P

I understood it! And I like it a lot, too. Your track was actually the first beta on this project that I saw, and it was before I edited anything. After watching it I was like gah... I have to make something that lives up to that? @__@

Good to see the project out, and I finally (though this was when I had a beta of the final) got to see TJ's mouth that I'd heard about. ;)

Thanks. :) I didn't initially set out to make it funny, but one of the first things I thought for "numbers" was "math class", and Azumanga is the school show I know best so I just saw where things went from there. (I like how there's now a kid named "Zulu" ;)) It was weird listening to all the Conet tracks at work. (BTW a co-worker liked the project and went to read up on numbers stations)

A note about the Gundam Wing characters at the end... For those that don't know, the characters' names are based on numbers, so shorthand for pairings like 1x4 and 3x2 became common among certain fans. The implication is that Kimura is a closet yaoi fan. And (I switched voices sorry :P) he's actually saying "nul", Russian for zero, but it sounded close enough to lol for me.

It made me think of the watershed filter, though I thought I remembered the pic there looking more like what he did.

Wiki is your friend, but godix's summary pretty much captures it as there isn't much info available out there... Knowing the mysterious nature of the audio just added to the enjoyment I got out of this video. What kinds of information were they really passing on through the number stations? Probably nothing like the little shorts in this AMV, but it was fun to sit and wonder and be visually entertained for 17 minutes none the less. I didn't find a segment that was difficult to sit through... they were all pretty different and neat in their own way.
