I liked this video quite a bit. My only gripes are of a technical nature.

720 x 480 resolution is wrong for a 4:3 AVI video (it's borderline even when properly flagged as 4:3, since it's obviously intended for computer viewing and the file could be smaller when encoded as 640 x 480 instead).

Furthermore, why the black borders at the top and bottom? If I'm not mistaken, all of Fushigi Yugi was 4:3 aspect ratio. The borders just throw off the aspect ratio even more.

Fix the aspect ratio problem(s) and you've got yourself a solid Fushigi Yugi video.

When I first saw that you used the third OVA for this, I wasn't thinking I would like it. I hate that OVA...

BUT, this video was totally worth the download.

I loved the lyric sync (I am a total FY fangirl), and you kept nicely to the storyline for the most part with a little diversion using the end of the series and Miaka taking out the 4 false gods. Also, the quick shots from the original series at the beginning was a great idea.

A/R was off, but the encode was nice and shiny. Kill the borders at the top and bottom and you have a win and awesome sauce vid here.

Definitely a fave of yours, GQ!

00:03~00:04 what is that thing? too low opacity and fast fade out XD i think it is ok since it is only an intro
00:18 the sub is not necessary imo

the amv is quite nice :) although overlay is not really my taste and the quality could be better if you use avisynth to filter ^^

Based on Minion's comments when the video was posted, I went back to the source and made an MP4 version at 640x480 to preserve the proper aspect ratio (and removed those top & bottom borders). I'll be working to see if I can get this version hosted for everyone. :)

There is now a direct link in the video profile to download a zip file containing the MP4 version with 640x480 resolution. My sincerest thanks to Jubjub2 for providing a hosting spot for it. :D

Sorry GQ, I didn't really like this at all. I thought the editing didn't follow the music at all (what was with those rapid scene changes before the first chorus?), and I couldn't really get into the concept. The quality was also below average. Sorry man.
