I said earlier I would comment on this video and I'm a man of my word. However I've been dreading this all day. See, to comment on your video would mean I'd have to watch the god damned thing. So I've spent the day wasting time trying to avoid the inevitable. I did other things, things far more enjoyable than watching your video. Like masturbate with sandpaper. Gargle the santorum that flows out of the goats's man ass. Watch some catfuckers. Talk to my wife. You know, stuff I would only do when the alternative is so much worse. But damnit, I'm a man of my word so I'm finally forcing myself to do this. Oh god, I think I'm gonna be sick.
The thing that most obviously jumps out about this video is the unusual choice of audio. I find it very odd that Russian singing sounds *EXACTLY* like a cat who's ass is sewed shut then fed exlax. I mean it's all here, the initial slow whimpering of pain followed by the loud yowl as the shits really kick in and the hissing and sound of breaking glass as it runs around the house seeking an escape followed by the final slow death gurgle as it gnaws it's own asshole off and chocks to death to escape the pain. This song sounds so much like the cat that I'm starting to wonder what type of sick bastards Russians are to record that and release it as an album.
Oh, wait a second. That wasn't the song. That was my own howls of torment. Sorry, my mistake. Weird, I didn't even realize I was screaming. Nevermind. The audio was fine.
Ok, enough about the song. On to the video. You have a remarkable editing talent. I know of no one else that can take hours of source and carefully remove any bit that would be remotely entertaining. I mean even kickass331 manages to occasionally show an interesting bit just by sheer dumb luck. But watching your editing is like watching Minion trying to answer a second grade math problem. At first there is astonishment that you would tackle something so obviously beyond your abilities. Then the boredom sets in as you take an eternity to get to anything resembling a point. And, finally, to no ones surprise you end up fucking it all up. So in the spirit of America, land of 'if your best isn't good enough we'll patronize you and pretend it was', I gave you a 5 star rating. If I had the slightest clue where you lived I'd also give you a nice gold star, a pat on the head, a cookie, and then beat your fucking computer to bits with a baseball bat before you could produce anything remotely like this again.

Until today I kept it in the living room as a conversation piece. The 20k was worth every penny, I've never seen Jehovah's Witnesses leave my property so quickly as when I pointed out the jar to them.Minion wrote:i heard someone snagged that jar from ebay for 20k. who would have guessed it was godix, though? well...godix wrote:Gargle the santorum that flows out of the goats's man ass.

Yowza. I was actually able to pay attention for almost the entire video. I almost want to watch BTC now, just to see if those teleportation scenes were in the original footage. They looked really cool.

Wow, this was pretty good work. I didn't really think that this would appeal to me since it's a slow drama video with a movie which is already overused in my opinion. But you made a video that is actually pretty impressive and the russian music adds alot to it but I guess it's the intelligent sceneusage that builds the core of this video. The best KnM video since Pokichs. I guess I'll keep it for a while and watch it when I feel like it. Keep up the good work.

New oto video?
I loved the use of internal sync in this (the coffee pot made me have to pause and rewind to make sure I had actually heard it the first time, I thought my ears were playing tricks on me, and I enjoyed the bit with the violin, too) and I like that it utilizes a lot of underused scenes in this video. Every Beyond the Clouds video has started to look the same to me, and this one is definitely different. Though, I don't think you've ever made a video that wasn't.

I guess you could call it that, but at least the parts of it that I used in the video were more symbolic.
Now go. Watch it!
Thank you! Good that the whole athmosphere part of it works on... not just meReigna wrote:Good video, Oto. I really liked the atmosphere in this one.

Pokich has an AMV to this?Warheart wrote:Wow, this was pretty good work. Thanks! As I probably said a few times before, despite my tendency towards weirdness, I don't really try to avoid things that are used/overused specifically. And this was maybe the one time when it was the anime, rather than the music, that really pushed me to make it, so hey...
Whoo! Someone (well, Kit too I guess) finally noticed some of the internal sync. I had Jasper complaining that unlike my usual stuff, the internal sync really didn't stand out, especially against the rhythm sync, but that's also personally my favorite aspect of this video to be honest, even if it's not as obvious/too understated here. The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
