Death Note With Attitude
OK, if you are sick of the constant stream of substandard jokey Death Note AMVs on the 'tube, then chill, because this is from the old school.

The aspect ratio was wrong, the sync was poor, the facial expressions didn't fit, and the lip sync failed hard.

I don't agree with Kit, even though there are some very sharp technical flaws to be sure.
Oh god, this video is pure lulz - all 6 minutes of it
I thought the length would work against it, and for some it will, but it honestly got funnier as it went on. I thought the timing wasn't impressive per se, but the slapstick was thrown in strategically enough.
On the downside... the quality is understandable given what I think is your source (and you could do far better in getting that). But the horrendous aspect ratio is unforgivably bad - fix it! Fix it!
High points on the, dare I say, fucked up idea and good use of slapstick and innuendoes!

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Plenty of little stuff to nitpick, as mentioned before, but really, it's all about the lulz. About time someone made a video with this song.

Well Death Note is certainly not 4:3 and I wouldn't treat it as that!
I stuck my Death Note footage into a 640x480 video by getting my source out this way...
lanczosresize(640,360)
crop(0,4,0,-4)
addborders(0,64,0,64)
Else you could just resize it to plain old 640x360 - not 480!

Otohiko thx for the tips. I am remastering as we speak. DN is indeed a 16:9 show.
EDIT : And behold, on the 17th day of May a glorious 16:9 version of the AMV appeared
