  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Simple and Sad: My Original Animation Video

Post by ZaCloud » Fri Mar 03, 2006 8:53 pm

<a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 359">帰らぬ子猫 - Lost Kitten</a>

A poignant story about a kitten who seems to have been forsaken by the world. Driven by piano melody in a sometimes surreal moving-manga style.

This is a labor of love, everything created by me except for the music. It's short, a small filesize (due to being grayscale and low-motion, not for lack of quality). It's XviD, but should be DivX5 compatible. Worth a few minutes of your time, ne? ^_^;;

(I usually don't pimp my own videos, but well, not many folks search for Original Animation vids anyway, ne? ^_^;; )

Aww, thank youuu. I'm glad it moved you (as in I did something right... and sometimes folks like to be moved... but if you didn't wanna be then sowwy... ^_^;; )

Yeah, like I said I'm still getting the hang o' my tablet, and I have a hard time drawing kitties in anime mode. (I usually do them more realistically). Me twied though. Thanks a lot for responding.

I've been waiting for somethnig new from you in a long time. I really enjoyed it, it was sad, and a nice choice of song too. Good drawings/animation.

Yeah. That was really sad.

Kinda reminded me of the Menchi Episode at first.

Really original craetion. I am sure you put a lot of effort into this one. I am not that fanatic about animals, but still your story touched me. The drawings were nice, but could have been a bit better in some passages. (I'm not telling that I could do it better, I would screw up, but if I compare your drawings, I see that some are worse than others).

All in all 9/10 I will keep this one.
