Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Hey, live action is greatness.

Downloading!

Edit: Great stuff, how this didn't make the acen finals is beyond me. I dunno why people are complaining about the live action since it's barely even in the video and isn't shown till the end.

Heh, I remember the "short version" of this!

Good job man, I like the thing with the slides that you did and the flow was kept intact nicely as usual. My only minor complaint are some of the zooms in the beginning, but the rest was cool!

Vielen Dank an alle!
looks like it got a whole lot wackier than i remember ;p
(stuff about concert scenes)
Yes. And more epic and GAR!
I thought of placing the anime scenes on the video screens of the concert hall, but that would've meant investing alot of time in fractions of seconds where they can be seen, and it wouldn't really have changed the overall impression. About rotoscoped characters in front of the concert scenes? Uh, no :P The characters coming out of the circles already helped alot though.
it only lacked some effort and effects to give it a unique touch, thus I guess it'll soon be forgotten after 10 other vids get released using the same anime.
I totally should've made it look like GitSP.
Luckily someone did that for me already: http://de.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm1241805
I doubt there will be alot of AMVs to this show because it's 2 years old and has never been released in the US. Though, I can see what makes you think that it's a recent one >_>
Don't know why, but it took about halfway through for me to really get into it
Duuude, same here. It took me quite some time to get the hang of editing this right, and I changed quite alot in the first minute to make it not completely look crap compared to the second half (which you can see from the beta I sent you). It's still a bit like that, but that might also be because the song gets alot more groovy lateron.
schiebe
I think you just invented a new word. :uhoh:
Zaniness aside, it felt a lot like Morning Honkation in that it is very much a fan video. I don't know if it would work quite as well without the live action bits.
I dunno why people are complaining about the live action since it's barely even in the video and isn't shown till the end.
i fell in love with the singer when i saw the picture from teh live concert you used
Yay I'm not the only one who likes it! :D
And yes, Yuri looks gorgeous.
My only minor complaint are some of the zooms in the beginning
Those were in the anime. I wanted to go for some internal syncing at the beginning, and I think I like the result.

Thanks to everyone!

actually that wouldve worked realy well i think, especially if you zoomed out from those screens and then zoomed back into a dif one or something like that.

awell too late to do anything about it at this point anyways. Still an awsm vid. and after seeing the dance category at acen, I think it really should have made the finals, but I digress...
