That middle chorus with all the action and drama = win :D

Only 1 cut int here bothered me a bit too fast. but good work overall, an excellent Mai tribute.

I don't remember that graveyard sequence at the very end, and I have all the raws and subs released. Did you create that somehow or I just have a bad memory? :P

Bad memory  Yeah, as Oropher said, that was taken from when Sayuri was explaining her background.

To Shino, Reigna, Yue, Jub, Senshi and n4rU, thank you! And to *inverse* I agree that you probably should watch the series first before you watch this. This video doesn't spoil the Mai arc 100% per se, but I think it's still worth seeing that first to better understand some of the more unclear imagery that are represented here.

Stunning. I think I mentioned that before, but I'll say it again...cuz it is.

You matched the haunting tone of the musical selection very well...this is definitely a keeper. :D

Good job transitioning to the second half. I was -about- to lose interest, but it changed pace at just the right moment (2:24). Strongest point is that it actually has a developed story arc. Sooo many drama AMVs never emerge past each line of the song, but this video had an end in mind. Also, nice use of hard cuts. You didn't drown your AMV in dissolves!

Bad points...there's a couple of black flickers for the drum beat. Didn't like where they were placed, it seemed sort of random, instead of marking a high point in the video (for example, 0:30). Sometimes the images matched the lyrics as an afterthought...too much anticipation is bad, but waiting too long is also bad (example: "hot blooded woman" *BEAT* legs and sword and miniskirt). It draws a little too much attention to the editing itself. I prefer foreshadowing and simultaneous matching to afterthoughts. Afterthoughts basically make my viewing experience this: hear lyrics, see matching image a second later, make logical conclusion.
