I myself liked what you did here SF

, well you pretty much know my opinion with the betas and I can see you changed all I didn't like. I will agree that at first the story was like your typical Haruhi AMV, but later when you focused on Mikuru it got better

.

I actually had a similar video down on paper and was going to try and do it this summer. I'll probably still go through with it, since it's not close to this one.

Anyway, here are my little gripes.

*I got sick of the guy constantly touching his hand. That really bugged me after the second time.

*Editing mood was right on target. The Anime/Song worked well together, as well as with the editing.

*Actual scene cutting could have been better. I felt as though a lot of the scenes were too long and could have used some major trimming.

*Lip Sync needed some work too.

*Concept was sound and well executed. Nice way to make an original Haurui Video!

Overall, a keeper for me because I'm a sucker for Daughtry and because this concept intrigued me. :O

Thanks for the comment =), I'm happy and relieved to see that someone understood the story, I was beginning to get the feeling that it was hard to decipher XD. And I'll leave Daughtry with you =P, I probably won't be using any more of his songs anyways

Overall, the scene selection was pretty spot on with the mood of the music, and I applaud your effort in trying to create a Haruhi video that's a bit more dramatic than usual. Lip synching, however, needed a bit of improvement, but other than that, I enjoyed this video.

I guess the flaws of this video are already mentioned in the comments above. If you could took those things (lip sync, more obvious storyline,...etc) into consideration and edited a little more then this would have been a GREAT haruhi vid

I am hoping for moar ! ^^

At first I had my doubts about this working very well >.< but hell you made it fit o.o I thought it flowed well. Scene selection was good. But just looking at Haruhi and hearing this song idk felt odd but like I said it fit. GJ

Good for the effort, AMV very good, but I feel that the anime and scenes in particular do not fit into my idea of an AMV romantic and sentimental, but if you think like the idea of a serious relationship and at the bottom of the Anime, is a pity that it is not the case it will be my rating! 3/5...Buen AMV

Seriously now,I liked this one a lot man.Finally something different.Not the classic Haruhi vid with the classic dance where we all know how it ends.And Mikuru gets more screen time for herself,not her boobs...

As for the storyline,come on guys.Imo,it's pretty obvious from the beginning and there comes the vid description to get a first hint before watching the video.

Very good job,nice editing and I'm glad you decided to do an alternative story on an overused anime.First time Haruhi gets pawned by Mikuru.Hell yeah!!

And Daughtry is one of my favorite artists during this period so you get a 5/5 from me.And an opinion later!!

Sorry, but I just gotta say that people who are calling this an "average Haruhi fun video" are crazy. They're clearly not watching what I'm watching.

This is actually one of the few Haruhi videos I've seen that does a more serious romance concept very well. It took a while for me to get into it, but once I did, I really liked your scene choices. I particularly enjoyed how you took several scenes completely out of context, yet they worked to convey your story nicely.

There are only two things I wasn't very fond of:
1. Lip synch. It wasn't horrible, but... maybe you shouldn't have ended your video that way. It leaves a somewhat awkward aftertaste.
2. Inclusion of Yuki and Koizumi. It was such a small part for both of them that I feel you could have eliminated it completely and replaced with with Kyon/Mikuru scenes and your video would have been just as good, if not better because you'd have been showing more of the blooming relationship between those two.

Otherwise, I have to admit that I really liked it. This was an AU that actually felt like it could have worked for real in the anime.

Thanks for checking it out =), I'm glad you thought it flowed well, the flow and mood were what I was trying to go for most here. I do admit that whenever anyone sees Haruhi they wouldnt think of something like this.

I thought you would notice the thread o.o, well my bad then =P
Mikuru only beats Haruhi in amvs, otherwise the scenes in my credits will happen (yes the scenes in the credits have meaning, don't know if anyone noticed that though)

I enjoyed taking scenes out of context, it was quite fun

Lip sync... yeah everyone's pretty much saying the same thing =)
As for Yuki and Koizumi, yeah I could have probably done without them, but the problem is that Mikuru doesn't really do many things with Kyon, I'd probably have just a bunch of tea scenes, but that might actually have worked better =O
