Final Fantasy AMV!

Post by Earendil18 » Thu Dec 21, 2006 11:23 am

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my 2nd AMV...EVAR! It's a biopic of Clouds' issues. Please enjoy and give feedback!

I was experimenting a lot with time in this one, no crazy sparkle effects like my last video.

Well, usually when someone advertises "GOOD" in their title, the video sucks. :P However, I remember liking your Fruits Basket video, so I figured I'd give this one a shot too.

It was pretty good, I think. I liked how the action wasn't the main focus, and what was used was fairly limited. Your beat sync was okay, but I do like how you switched the scenes more to the lyrical and musical movement than just the percussive noises. The song seems to work well for Cloud, although I haven't heard it enough times to know all of the lyrics.

Video quality was passable - not the best I've ever seen. Interesting that you would try to avoid lip flap in such a complex CGI source, but watch out with those slow-downs you used. Sometimes you took scenes a little TOO slow (I'm thinking towards the end, with the water in the church scenes).

I am curious to as why you used the Lifestream clip as "black borders" of sorts. To me, it didn't really add anything to the video, although I suppose it didn't detract.

This is a nice video all around. Probably not a keeper for me, but definitely worth the watch. Great work, and keep it up. ^_^
