Sacrifice

Post by Kaxi » Sun Sep 17, 2006 10:50 am

Hi there!
I've just uploaded my newest amv, if you have the time, watch it and tell me what you think!

Title: Sacrifice
Anime: Various
Music: Pulse Ultra - Build your cages

Link: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=128821

Not too much to tell about this amv. It is an average action video with various anime sources. Some special effects added, for example some words written with blood at the end. I tried to follow the intensity of the song, that means that slow video parts at slow audio parts and fast at fast parts.

Thank you in advance!

Well, I downloaded this cuz it used a song I like, and got a good video to go with it! Win. ^_^

I wish I knew more of the anime used, because I'm not really sure on the direction of the video's story. However, some very good beat sync and subtle, yet effective use of effects made this interesting to watch visually, if nothing else. I wasn't terribly fond of the text near the end, because I didn't think that it was highlighting anything important in the song or the theme of the video.

All in all, this was a very well-edited piece, and I definitely recommend it.

Wow.. Great vid. Opening sequences and sync were awsome. I agree with DJ though, ending text was annoying.

No. 1 - Ending Text (Minus One)

That was really all that bugged me. Great video, and I suggest it to all for viewing pleasure.

9/10

I liked the editing, the use of effects, the scene selection worked well, except that the song gets on my nerves after a while.

Did you clean the footage up? I noticed some interlacing and a lot of it looked like some simple pre-processing would have had it looking better.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to your next video.

Just what I'd expect from you, Kaxi! Nice work, and very well timed.

Thank you very much for your comments! Yeah, it seems that the text thing at the end only distracts you from the video, i should've cut that out! Anyway, thanks again!
