Post by samantca » Tue Sep 05, 2006 10:12 pm

This is my newest vid, and the first completed premiere project i ever made :)

I feel quite satisfied with it, altho there are some things that bug me a little still. Anyway, im not here to complain, im here to get you guys to watch my vid :P

Its mostly about Yuna, i dont want to say too much, id rather you watch it and make your own opinions about it.

Its set to Within Temptation - Somewhere

not bad. I like how you encorporated some of the in-game cut scenes and didn't just stick to the fmv footage. I don't know whether or not you downloaded the in-game cut scenes, but the quality wasn't all too bad either for the most part.
For a first completed project in premiere, I've got to say, you did a nice job. You had some good solid editting that flowed well with the song. The one and only part I personally didn't like was the brief speed up effect you used at ~2:07-2:08.
My next biggest project to come...

Thanks for the feedback :)

I didnt download the footage, i ripped it myself. The only part thats got really crappy quality imo is the end footage (the ingame stuff) but i didnt manage to get it any better

I hope to learn more in premiere, i had tons of fun making the video :)

Thanks

Wow. This is definitely the best use of X-2 that I've ever seen in a music video. I loved the incoporation of the ingame material, and it was good quality, too! Well, up until the very end - but you know that already.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you "rip" it? Don't you mean you captured it? I've never heard of anyone ripping ingame scenes.

Anyway, you're editing was really nice. I thought that there were a few too many overlays and a little too much slow motion, but the whole package came together beautifully.

This one's a keeper for me, mostly because I've hardly seen anyone use mainly X-2 in a serious way and do it well.

Awesome job! ^_^

Thanks a lot, im glad to hear you like it.

And yes, capture is the right word, i should have said that instead of ripping. But i ripped the FMVs

Im really happy you enjoyed it, thanks a lot for watching :)

Darn it! I wanted to critique this vid first! Oh well...

No. 1 - Slow motion drives me nuts Minus one

No. 2 - Fast motion drives me nuts. Minus one

No. 3 - Lesser quality clips drives me nuts. Minus One

Overall - 7/10 Like the earlier two stated, this was a really great AMV. Loved it, and plan on critiquing more of your work!

:o

Thanks for watching my vid and im glad you liked it :)

As for watching my earlier work, im not sure that is a good idea :P I was using movie maker earlier, i only just made this one with premiere. My other vids have really sucky quality, i plan on remaking some when i feel like it. Also, the format is wmw, which is kinda lame. Also i had no idea how to make my source footage look good back then, so its got heavy interlacing and god knows.

If you still feel like it tho, be my guest :P

Thanks again
