It's ok for a first Premiere video, but somehow I don't see the correlation of Blood with that song. Yeah, some lyrics fit but the others are just...wrong
. You need to work on timing dewd. Premiere gives you very precise options to work with. You ought to synch better next time. Keep practicing.

jus kidding, i'm not really hurt by that.. maybe a little, but it's constructive, so i can understand... and agree, lol
i don't really know what you mean by precise options... but i'm gonna assume you mean that it lets u sync nicely, good control in other words
i didn't have a lot of ppl to give me feedback, most of them told me everything was good and me being the creator, i naturally saw things better than what they were
as for a connection to blood, i wouldn't say it's deep, the song wasn't anything that hit me as being destined to be used with Blood, i just did it cause i hadn't made a video in a loooong time and this was the first that i saw that fit, even if it was only a loose fit

Alright, I watched the larger version of it. Having heard the song myself, I must say that the quality of it is pretty bad. Also, the video quality suffered alot with color depth and pixelation issues. Some scenes could've been done better (Screaming, guitar parts, ending, etc.) and possibly some lip sync could've been added. Also, you could've at least cropped out the subtitles in V Dub Mod (Really not that hard). There's my $0000000000.02. 6/10

Unfound, thnx for the comments
wow, i can't believe that u thought it sucked, i knew it wasn't great, but damn, i guess some people just have higher standards, so that's expected
the video quality in my opinion is not really that bad. i will admit that i didn't use DVD rips so maybe ur over-estimating what i had to work with, i don't have a dvd-rom... i should get one though, but my source wasn't that bad either, so maybe u got a point.... a small one
i've never cropped so i didn't know u could do that, and anyway, if i had, the video quality would have gone straight to hell because it's basically a zooming in technique, while not as extreme, it still degrades quality... but if you meant just cropping out those specific scenes with subs.. then first i'd have to learn how and care to take out 4 lines of subtitles... i should care, but this video i just didn't, but if i re-master (very likely yrs from now) i'll make a point to remove any subs
the ending i felt was fine as is, in fact most people seem to like it, but i guess in a way it was probably too drawn out, so i'll try to work on that for my next videos
as for lip sync, i didn't see a need for it, sure it would have livened up the video, but so would have some inverts and random flashes, doesn't mean they'd help the video though.
was there any specific line you thought needed lip syncing?
btw, could u spot where i edited the song? u said u've heard Boiler before, so i just wanted to know how the song editing turned out
(heard before=like?)

First off, I didn't think it sucked. 6/10 is a bit above mediocre, so it was alright.
1. Cropping has nothing to do with zoom, so it wouldn't effect the video at all if you did the resize correctly in V Dub.
2. The ending was good, I just thought it could've had some effect to the way the song ends. (Some grunge lines, TV Scanlines, etc.) Also, concerning the lip sync, for the screaming you could've used some open mouthed (Couldn't think of a better way to say it) scenes to compensate for it. Also, I think the parts that say "If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself." you could've lip synced.
3. You didn't edit the song, it just sounds like you didn't use the CD version of it and then compress it through V Dub. It sounds like you used a .mp3 and THEN compressed it furtherly through V Dub.

i see what u mean by the ending now, i agree, sum nice effect would definately have contributed to how the song ends
also, thnx for explaining the lip sync, lip syncing the screaming at the end was sumthing that would have been rather easy and that i should have considered, maybe for the re-master then ^_^
and as for cropping/zooming, i didn't say that they were the same, but that they are similar concepts, afterall, isn't cropping taking a certain portion of the video and making sure that the rest of the picture isn't visible? sounds like a still zoom to me, maybe not in technicalities, but in essense it is
i'm all for opinions, but don't tell me i didn't do sumtin when i know i did it, you say that u've heard the song before, so i'm assuming that you have it handy sumwhere whether on ur computer or on cd/tape, so how about taking a look at the song length and then comparing that to my video length, instead of denying that i edited anthing, how about maybe a congrats for a seemless audio editing job
actual song length: 7:00 last time i checked, even though song ends at 5:38, that's still longer than my video
my video length including end credits: 5:21
christ, i didn't say that i took out a fukin' minute and a half, i just said i edited the song (and not just the end mind you) to see if anyone would try to find where, like a trivia thing, i didn't say it so that people would call me a liar, i obviously didn't take that lightly, no matter how petty you might have thought it
if u don't have the drive to find where i edited the audio, don't bother replying to that specific question
i thank you for your comments, all of them with the exception of the audio editing were very much appreciated and will definatley be of great use to me when i re-master and i'll probably even credit you with the help, though i know ur not asking for the credit, it's simply the right thing to do imo

actually, it WAS cd quality, but it went through a lot of compressions, but anyway...excuse me?!Unfound wrote:3. Calm down buddy. Its actually I GOOD thing I didn't notice the edit. That means you did it correctly. I though you had asked where you had edited it, so I thought it wasn't edited at all. My bad. Also, about the audio quality, I didn't know, I was just stating what it sounded like. One compression at 224 Kbps should be good enough.actually, it WAS cd quality, but it went through a lot of compressions, but anyway...excuse me?!

sorry i went off, and thnx for not going off on me in exchange ^_^
i'm actually getting pretty good at audio editing and i guess i got a little too proud
but yeah, i don't like that i didn't use the best audio i should have, but it was enough to not be distracting so i kept it
any ops would be appreciated (WITH COMMENTS!!!!)... that is all
