Try looking at this and this. They're good reading material for anyone looking for basic artistic theory.

Also, Kionon is sporting a lovely thread at the top of this forum for everyone's reading pleasure.

I hope that this is kinda what you're looking for. ^_^

You're welcome. ^_^

And you're right, by the way. Experience is the best teacher for finding out what is "good," so don't hesitate to try and edit something - just to see how it comes out, you know.

Good luck~!

Make what you like. This hobby is more art than science.

depends on what program you're using.

I use Premiere. There are three main ways that I do it.

1) put the whole episode on a track, scroll through and find the stuff that I like and clip it out, deleting the rest.
2) use the preview pane, clipping the stuff I like and moving it to the key scenes that I want
3)making tons and tons of clips, saving them and sorting them by length. Then I match appropriate scenes to my music like a puzzle.

Of course, the real problem is that I'm too lazy to polish my finished prouduct to the degree that it needs, so it always feel lacking to me.

Like everybody says... just DO it, and you'll figure out what works for you.
