I play videogames, sketch, make music, and write stories. One of those things is bound to keep me occupied while I'm waiting for another idea or burst of inspiration to hit me.

I just don't edit.

Doesn't seem to make a difference.

I force myself to edit.

Within a couple of minutes then I get in the mood usually. If not, I start to wonder if I should finish the video at all :P

Forced editing is not so bad as it sounds. My personal favourites are the videos where I did it alot, mostly due to a con deadline

Same as what I do normally, except I don't ever fire up the editing program.

Depends on whether it's an editing block or a motivational block. If it's an editing block, there are a number of things that I do:

1. Sleep on it. An idea usually comes to me in a week or so.
2. Ask people to beta my video. When doing that, it's helpful to not only get suggestions on what to do about the "blocked" part but also to get feedback on the general sense of a video. Sometimes seeing the overall picture can help you realize what to do with a specific section.
3. Watch the source footage really fast, like in 32x speed.
4. Watch other people's videos for inspiration.

#4 at least keeps me from a motivational block, which really can't be helped. When I really don't feel like editing, I always manage to find tons of ways to keep myself away from amvs. :P
