All of my "original saying" banners get voted down anyway. 
[Edit] I have an idea, why don't you guys suggest what sayings you would like to see on a banner and us banner makers can make them into decent looking banners and see if they get worthy.

Why would it? We have imaginative people here who can't photoshop to save their lives. I'm sure a few of them could come up with banner ideas that would be wildly creative, but which they can't make themselves for lack of artistic/photoshop skills. And there's no real debate about the fact that we have banner makers who consistently do pretty banners of the same identical-looking anime-style girls over and over - they have the skills but they've either run out of ideas or run out of galleries with unique-looking girls.OtakuGray wrote:But if anyone DOES want to be original, doesn't that take all the originality out of it?
Take some of those witty one-liner people and some of those stuck-in-a-rut-but-skilled banner makers and let them pair up as much as they want. If the best banner makers already come up with original ideas themselves, then they'll continue to do so. This would have no effect on them at all.
