Playstaion Ripper

Hello. I was just wondering if someone had a better link to a playstaion ripper which i can get the cut scenes to final fantasy FMVs?

please i have a few videos in mine and i want HQ picture.

Have you read this thread ? It's quite informative. As for Final Fantasy, if I recall correctly, FFX's FMVs are encoded in a different manner and need a special decryption utility. I'm sure if you search the archives you can find a link to it. Anyhow, hope that helps.

Do you want a ripper for Playstation 2 or the original Playstation? If you want to rip footage from FF7, FF8, or FF9, try looking at this guide for ripping Playstation games:

It is but i couldnt find the PSS Plex or the virtual dub.

i couldnt find the audio either but thats not too big of a deal.

I reccommend PSmplay over PsxMC because PsxMC won't rip some stuff correctly (such as the FF8 opening FMV). =/

I beg to differ. I prefer PSXMC over PSMplay due to its features. And I had no problem whatsoever ripping the FF8 opening AMV in PSXMC- it may be due to an individual problem occuring in your computer?

ok here is the break down:

I have an FFX vid combo downoading...should be HQ

I just need FF8 and FF9

I have the following downloaded

DVD2AVI
Extractor 2.4
The File Spliter


PsxMC isnt workin...it didnt even instail.....at lest i think it is PsxMC

Ok, well here's my breakdown of what I gave you earlier.

Final Fantasy VIII - PSXMC
Final Fantasy IX -PSXMC
Final Fantasy X - FFX2MOV
...

Use PSXMC for VII and IX. Download PSXMC and open the PSXMC folder. Double click and execute PsxMC.EXE. No installation is required. Read the Help Files on how to work this program.

I highly recommend you do not download FFX footage, and rather rip high-quality videos for yourself. Use FFX2mov linked above- this is an easy tool to work with, very simple.

I have the following downloaded

DVD2AVI
Extractor 2.4
The File Spliter

This is not required for any FF ripping except for X-2. You do not need these for 8,9, and 10.
