Some grapefruit, a bit of yogurt with Craisins mixed in, and a little wedge of jalapeno and cheddar focaccia bread. It feels good to start the day off right.

Waiting till the last minute to do something and then still getting it finished with plenty of time to spare.
And technology. I just got my first 3tb drive for only a little more than my dearly departed 2tb drive cost, and I'm all giddy at the thought of filling it up. I'm such a digital hoarder. ;p

Re: Little things you love?
Making somebody's day. Sometimes they outright tell me when I've done it, and sometimes you can just tell from the look on their faces.
The example I'm thinking of is when I was in Barnes & Noble yesterday, and I saw a woman in her twenties who was just the perfect image of summer. She had a beautiful sun dress, a matching little flower in her hair, and wedge sandals, all in summer colors. She could have stepped out of an ad in a fashion magazine. So, as I was perusing the same section as her, I mentioned that she looked absolutely adorable in her outfit, and she just lit up. She excitedly told me how she had gotten everything for cheap at Wal-mart, and then she jokingly asked if she could take me home so that I could repeatedly tell her she looked cute all the time. I said that my friends probably wouldn't be too happy about me being kidnapped, and she laughed and thanked me again for the compliment, and then I waved goodbye and that was the end of it.
Tiny moments like that are amazing to me, because they leave a surprising impact on people. It's a moment of pure joy when you realize, "Oh my God, somebody noticed me, and they loved me!" and it boosts your mood for the rest of the day. Folks get so isolated going about their business. Every once in a while, I like to just step into someone's space and give them a pleasant surprise.
Sometimes it backfires with a particularly paranoid individual, but most just light up like she did - and those are the moments that make me smile too.

I like storms. They're really refreshing when it's so damn hot everywhere. For a week now storms have been here every night. I'm extremely scared of them, though

"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Yes. Last turn and I'm done with the surgeries. And the best part is that this time the patients themselves brought me dinner, I was starting to feel starved
And now the bad new is that I'll be sent after this next week to the Prison

-Getting comments on videos from people who claim you not only made their day, but their entire life.
-Being done with said video, and getting to start work on the project I've been putting off for so long.
-Rain. Finally, got some this morning, hope it keeps up. The grass is getting rather crispy.
-Being able to buy a piece of software soon, that I have wanted since... probably 1998.
