• Comments: I'd been planning this one in my head for a while. I happen to worship Tori Amos and the first time I heard this song it struck me as being very Shao Li, an interesting NOIR character. The more I listened to the lyrics, it actually fit nicely with Sylvia (who I imagine can easily be confused with Shao Li to people who are unfamiliar with NOIR). It would be nearly impossible to make a decent AMV focusing on just one of these characters, as they are each in only 2 episodes. So I figured it would be interesting to connect the two in an AMV :D
  
  What was NOT planned was my use of Mireille in the video. Kirika has little to no interaction with the 2 purple haired bad girls, and Chloe has a small (though vital) part for Shao Li. Both of the girls interact quite a bit with Mireille, so I found it VERY useful to use her as the connection between them (especially in some...*ahem* rather flirty situations that I did not fully pick up on before editing this). I'm not suggesting that Shao Li and Sylvia are both hopelessly in love with Mireille. I'm simply trying to convey that they both seem to mix a hint of seduction in their hunt when dealing with their prey. It was a bit difficult to stretch their footage over 4 minutes, but it all happened somehow. Thankfully.
  
  Something I really came to appreciate while making this AMV (and also lead to the title) was that both characters killed ruthlessly to get to the top. They saw their prey as sacrifices to their own greatness, but in the end, they become the sacrifices themselves to an unseen power *cough NOIR* that they were too self involved to see. Self worship is so unhealthy.
  
  Anyway...I figured that there aren't many AMVs for them out there so I thought people might enjoy it. My best AMV is a Chloe tribute and for whatever reason, it is my least popular. So I'm still not certain if people aren't interested in NOIR or characters other than Mireille and Kirika or what. Meh. Whatever. I hope you all enjoy. Opinions are lovely :D
