  • Comments: I'm sure this song has been used a few times, but it happens to be my favorite break-up song of allllll time, and I thought it applied well to one of my favorite couples- Izumi Rio and Meroko Yui of Full Moon wo Sagashite. Those of you who have read the manga and seen the anime know that the 2 are quite different, and Izumi and Meroko's relationship is seen in 2 completely different lights. Though Izumi is portrayed as a rather negative (and maybe a little evil) in the anime, he is actually quite gentle and kind in the manga (though still keeps that bad-boy spark, somehow ^^).

Their relationship has never been an easy one- and though it is portrayed as negative and hurtful in the anime (which wasn't quite right)- Izumi and Meroko truly do love each other, and both need each other dearly.

I decided to use both the anime footage and pictures from manga to compare and contrast their relationship. Though there are many differences between the anime and the manga, I feel that their relationship still carries the same elements either way. And I love them to death because of it :D

In the manga, we get a bitter feel of how devastating Izumi leaving Meroko really was for her. This song really brings out that aspect of denial I felt in Meroko, especially because of her desperate need for love, and fear of being alone.

I really enjoyed making this amv (probably more than any other I've ever made) and it's one of my favorites from my collection. I think I get the message through clear enough ^^

So please enjoy, and be sure to read the manga if you haven't- It really gives you a new perspective on their relationship.

I tried to edit out the words in alot of the manga pictures, but I couldn't do enough to completely remove them without it looking awkward. Sorry about that, the pictures are what really matter :D

With my new computer, I could go back and edit it a bit more to make it a bit cleaner...but I just can't bring myself to alter the video in anyway. It's one of my favorites and is very very important to me. I think it's fine the way it is :D

    Lyrics:

    You and me
    We used to be together
    Everyday together always
    I really feel
That I'm losing my best friend
    I can't believe
    This could be the end
It looks as though you're letting go
    And if it's real
Well I don't want to know

    Don't speak
I know just what you're saying
    So please stop explaining
Don't tell me cause it hurts
    Don't speak
    I know what you're thinking
    I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me cause it hurts

    Our memories
    Well, they can be inviting
    But some are altogether
    Mighty frightening
As we die, both you and I
With my head in my hands
    I sit and cry

    Don't speak
I know just what you're saying
    So please stop explaining
Don't tell me cause it hurts (no, no, no)
    Don't speak
    I know what you're thinking
    I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me cause it hurts

    It's all ending
I gotta stop pretending who we are...
You and me I can see us dying...are we?

    Don't speak
I know just what you're saying
    So please stop explaining
Don't tell me cause it hurts (no, no, no)
    Don't speak
    I know what you're thinking
    I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me cause it hurts
Don't tell me cause it hurts!
    I know what you're saying
    So please stop explaining

    Don't speak,
    don't speak,
    don't speak,
oh I know what you're thinking
And I don't need your reasons
    I know you're good,
    I know you're good,
    I know you're real good
Oh, la la la la la la La la la la la la
    Don't, Don't, uh-huh Hush, hush darlin'
    Hush, hush darlin' Hush, hush
don't tell me tell me cause it hurts
Hush, hush darlin' Hush, hush darlin'
Hush, hush don't tell me tell me cause it hurts
