First off, yes, this IS an homage to K-Type's CHIHUAHUA!, down to the style and everything. Before you kill me, I did check with K-Type before putting this up, and the only condition was to make the title substantially different than CHIHUAHUA!
Which leads me to the title. The title comes from the fact that the whole video is based on the most obscure possible reference I could find in all of anime (OK, maybe that's an exaggeration...) I am referring to the difference in ADV's translation between the anime and manga versions of Azumanga Daioh. In the anime version, Yukari-sensei at one point runs into the classroom and calls for Chiyo-chan by yelling "Chiyosuke!" (Funny because Chiyosuke would generally be an older male's name and Chiyo is a 10 year old girl.) In the manga, however, the same scene is translated as Yukari yelling "Chihuahua!" This stuck in my head and the only way to exorcise the demons was to make a video.
There's not much more to explain beyond that, so enjoy!
