**This video (and commentary) is spoilerific for episodes 25 of FMA. If you do not want to be spoiled, turn back now!** There are some scenes that from the last few episodes that may give you a few hints at spoilers, but I don't believe they are understandable sense out of context.

I wasn't going to enter the Anime Next contest this year. I just finished my last semester of college, and I had a slew of cosplay costumes to work on. I was looking forward to having a few weeks to breathe. Then I heard Hear You Me, and inwardly cursed, because it just SCREAMED at me to be made into a Hughes video. I worked my butt off to get it done in time, and when it was finally done...I angsted over it for a few days, thinking I had failed to get the emotion across.

After a few days of getting proper sleep, I started to feel better about the video. The few close friends I showed it to said it was very emotional, and that was my goal. Then at Anime Next it premiered..and the responses I got from people were wonderful. It came in second place, and from what I've been told was very close to being first. I was also told that the english voice actors of Roy and Winry really enjoyed it, and that in and of itself was better than winning the contest.

An elegy is a poem or song of mourning. One thing I always felt in FMA was that Ed and Roy never had the opportunity to properly mourn for Hughes' death, or if they did so, it was off camera. When I listened to Hear You Me, it just seemed to perfectly fit some of the things that might be running through their heads, silently...but still there. I also wanted to try to show what a great person Hughes was, and what a painful loss his death was - not only to Ed and Roy, but Gracia, Elysia, and all who knew him.

There are definitely glitches that I am aware of, and I am going to fix come hell or high water. Expect a remastered copy of this, and eventually, when they're all available...a DVD rip quality copy (no cropping or annoying bars! Yay!)

I hope despite the glitches, it is enjoyable. Thank you for your time.
