  My first AMV at the org!
  
  This video is based on a lesser known anime, Shingetsutan Tsukihime. All the characters have a secret they are hiding. Shiki has strange dreams about his unknown past. He is slowly piecing together the dark truths about his own past, sister Akiha, classmate Ciel, and a mysterious person, Roa, that he continually comes across.
  
  I have taken the tips from the READFAG guides to heart. I can't stress enough how valuable the information in those guides helped me during this editing process.
  
  The long:

  For Tsukihime anime fans:
  ---------------------------
  I wanted to focus on the underlying relationship between Akiha, Shiki, and Roa. The anime mainly followed Arcueid's story arc and as much as I wanted to make a video with her, I found this to be a more challenging and rewarding project.
  
  Thoughts on the song selected:
  --------------------------------
  I thought the music and lyrics set the proper stage for my vision. Each character has a dark side they are hiding and the music sets the tone in which the story takes place. The lyrics accurately describe the unfortunate circumstances that bind Shiki, Akiha, Ciel and Roa. I particularly loved the chorus. Each time it plays, it allows more history for each character to be revealed.
  
  Background information on Tsukihime and the characters:
  ----------------------------------------------------------
  Tsukihime is set in modern day Japan but contains fantasy elements such as demons and immortal beings.
  
  Shiki: Shiki comes from a family of demon assassins. However one night, his village and family was slaughtered by one. He was then adopted by his family's murderer (due to the fact that the murderer's son shared the same name). He has since joined the Tohno household and gained a sister Akiha and brother Shiki (Roa). Shiki then had a childhood accident which caused a memory loss. Shiki (Roa) began to reverse back into a demon and started to attack Akiha. Shiki intervened and saved her life but was severely injured in the process. Akiha has since harbored a secret love for Shiki.
  
  Akiha: Shiki's step sister. She and Shiki (Roa) contain demon blood in them. This blood makes them powerful but also has history of causing the person to revert to a full demon. Akiha drinks the blood of one of her maids (Kohaku) to help suppress the urge. Kohaku has a special power which helps control the demon side from manifesting itself.
  
  Roa (Shiki): Akiha's blood brother who reverts back to full demon form. In this form, he becomes reincarnated as Roa, a centuries old demon. Shiki comes to the realization in the end that he must kill Roa which pains Akiha.
  
  Ciel: The Church's executioner disguised as Shiki's classmate. Her sole purpose is to destroy Roa. Her secret is that she is immortal. Roa is a reincarnating demon that once possessed Ciel. She managed to exorcise the demon but the side effect was that she could no longer die while Roa existed (currently in Shiki-Roa's form).
