• Comments: Well, this is my second attempt at an AMV. I have a real video editor that can do cross-fades and everything, so this vid is more polished than my first. I was even able to edit out lip flaps and add some effects!

  Optional Ranting About the Vid
  
  The story follows the basic plotline of CardCaptor Sakura: The Sealed Card (the 2nd movie), and as such technically has spoilers. However, if you are at all familiar with CCS, you know it had to have a happy ending, so I don’t think it would ruin the movie if you haven’t seen it. I gloss over some of the major plot points.
  
  The purpose of this vid was originally a character study of the sealed card (bubble-girl in the vid). Like all CCS villains she isn’t really bad at heart. But unlike most CCS villains, her actions are more extreme because she is driven by her intense fear of loneliness. I wanted to get that across and I think Sarah McLachlan’s “Fear” expresses that perfectly. However, there’s not enough material to make the vid entirely about the card, and the plot would be hard to follow, so I also include Sakura in my analysis. In the movie, she is similarly driven by a fear of loss, and it is her understanding of the card’s loneliness that, in the end, saves the day. I think this comes across pretty well.
  
  I worked very hard on this vid in my meager amount of spare time, and I hope it shows. (My testers tell me it does at least!) I started it last October (2004) and finished yesterday (3/09/05). It took longer than it might have since it was also my "learn how to use this editor" guinea pig. But I happen to be very fond of guinea pigs... I am very proud of it, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
  
  And to all you dial-up people out there, sorry for the large file size, but I just couldn’t bear to see it in the smaller resolution. I smoothed and compressed as much as I could while maintaining quality.
