I started this video at the beginning of the year when I got Final Cut Express. I was originally planning on doing a Naruto Vid. but since I don't have all the footage yet, I needed to do something with the new program. I figured that I would just mess around and get used to the features so I would be ready to make the Naruto Vid. But as things turned out I liked how this Purgatory was shaping up. So I just had to finish it.

Purgatory was and is strictly a timing Vid. As are all my AMVs. I wanted to go with fast action sequences but the song I chose varied too much in the intensity of the music. So it ended up with slow scenes with fast scenes. I tried not to make it a spoiler and I think I did a good job at it, but if someone thinks it gives away the plot line please tell me. The general theme was just to time the sequences and add effects. So in that way it really has no point except that I made it to test Final Cut Express. For the most part the chorus part of the song is the action sequences and the verse is the slower part. In the slow parts I tried to match the clips with the lyrics of the song.

    Lyrics as follows:

    Crowded streets are cleared away
    One by One
    Hollow heroes separate
    As they run

    You're so cold
    Keep your hand in mine
    Wise men wonder while
    Strong men die

Show me how it ends it's alright
Show me how defenseless you really are
    satisfied and empty inside
That's alright, let's give this another try

If you find your family, don't you cry
In this land of make-believe, dead and dry

You're so cold, but you feel alive
Lay your hands on me one last time

    It's alright
