INSTRUCTIONS:
This is an Mpeg2 file. If you can't get it to work, go to this site: http://www.download.com/Moonlight-Xmuxer/3000-2194_4-10179390.html?tag=lst-0-6
download the "Xmuxer" and install it. Make sure you have a decompressing program like "Winzip," (also available at download.com), to unzip the download. After installing the Xmuxer, don't run it or do anything else it asks you about. Just play the video on your usual player and it should work.

If I died tomorrow, people would still be downloading my movies and leaving me reviews. Isn't that weird?
I read somewhere that Cowboy Bebop is the series people most want to see a sequel to. Too bad it can't happen with the main character dead: OOPS, spoiler. I guess if you read that, you don't have any reason not to watch this video. This is the first "serious" video I've done in a while. I've sort of been in a comedy renaissance for the past six AMVs.
It's funny, I heard this song on the radio and never thought much about it. Then all of a sudden for reasons unknown, it became one of my favorite top ten songs of all time. It's nestled somewhere in between "Kryptonite," "The Four Horsemen," and "Desert Rose." Speaking of Kryptonite; The first CB video I made, (second AMV I ever made), was Cowboy Bebop/Kryptonite. Is was pretty good but since I made it on my old Win 98 computer, it didn't render smoothly into an Mpeg file. Some scenes would be jumpy and it was for that reason that I never really did anything with the finished product. Maybe I'll remake it some time.
When I was conceptualizing this video I foresaw two problems I might have: the song's intensity and the song's length. I think I mentioned earlier that I don't use storyboards. I tried it once and it's nearly impossible to leave a coherent note about cinematography and synchronization for myself that I can understand. I also hate taking notes. Standard procedure is to think about the song and the show and keep notes in my head. I'll end up figuring out exactly what I want to happen at some parts of the song. Other parts, I'll know what type of scene I want but not specifically what scene I want. And all the rest is made up on the fly. Anyway, this song is very intense, so what I envisioned was something extremely intense with some special effects. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up and make it that extreme. I am also very limited as far as what I can do with special effects. I won't go into details but most of what you think is an effect in this video is actually some weird editing improvising. But I can easily say that this is the most intense video I've ever made.
The length: this is a LONG song. Again I was concerned that I didn't have enough stamina and fast action clips to make a really extreme synchronized video for a song that long. Also, in the program that I use, there is a wall somewhere around 3 1/2 minutes where everything begins to s-l-o-w down. Eventually it got so slow that I had to open a new project where I could edit something and then copy and paste it into the real project. This is also the longest AMV I've ever made.
I managed to make what I thought was a pretty good video despite those problems. But then I found that the movie file was over the 100 MB maximum for this site. I'd have to drop the intro, the outro or both; or I'd have to shorten the song and video or lower it's resolution to make the file smaller. I would rather not upload it at all if it couldn't be in it's entirety or have decent resolution. I knew there had to be some way to fix this without screwing with the video. Everyone else makes videos 5X bigger than mine with better resolution that are half the file size. I knew there was a custom video output on my program but I didn't know how to use it; so for the first time since I bought the program, (five years ago,) I looked at the instructions. I fixed the problem and now I know how to make BIG videos that don't take up a lot of space.
SIDE NOTES:I've never put more effort than this into a video before. //The best part of this AMV is toward the end. //The first star vote I got for this was a 1 star. I guess I wasted a lot of time and energy on it. Ohh well. //During this six minute video of Cowboy Bebop, Faye appears only once, and Jet appears only three times (twice in silhouette.) //Around 68 rounds are visibly fired. //There are 19 explosions and 11 windows broken.
Enjoy, or die trying.
