  • Comments: I guess I'm the 400th person that thought doing a AMV to Aerosmith's "Dude Looks Like a Lady" and I thought maybe I'd give it a try even though it was overdone. Then I saw "Questionable Gender " by Neo Eva and gave up on my Dude Project. No way was I going to do better than that AMV. The trouble is that I had already captured 40GB of clips and I didn't really want to just dump them. I decided that I would do an AMV to Bob Rivers "Walking Around in Womens Underwear". I know its along the same lines but I checked and NO ONE has used that song. The Biggest drawback is, even though it's not technically a Christmas Song, It's A Christmas Time Song. Well What the Hell, I went for it anyway.

    Time wise I spent more time on this one AMV than all my others put together. I started capturing footage in June and went through 6 drafts before I got everything to fit. Along the way I ran into some editing challengs that I haven't spent much time on in the past. I had to do a fair amount of looping and reverse playback to make some of the sceens fit and the lipsync was a total bitch. The locker room sceen from YUA took 2 days alone and the 9 seconds of Genma and Soun is only 4seconds of raw footage and took forever. I did the whole project from start to end with Pinnacle Studio 9 before I got the Plus upgrade. The capture is straight from DVD using a Pinnacle AV/DV card (Replaced the DV500 but works the same), and the titling was done with the standard Hollywood FX plug-in that comes with Studio 9.     Great News! The Anime Detour 2005 AMV contest picked this AMV as Best in Comedy

    This AMV is also getting T.V. airplay in San Antonio Tx. (where I attended Douglas MacArthur High School in 1976-77) Watch for it on Anime Fun TV season 4 Episode 11
