• Comments: This is the first in what will probably be a series of Cowboy Bebop videos. I just seem to have alot of ideas around this series, and since it's on my hard drive right now, prepare for the pain. This was, once again, an attempt to do a song no one has done before, and this time I succeeded. The idea comes directly from the song, which is a ode to the guys dog. Pretty obvious concept really. This follows the naritive style of AMVs - the scenes match the lyrics, which means when it's shown in a vacuumous convention hall, it's lost on alot of people. Oh well. The reception to this video at AnimeUSA 5 was pretty good, though it was definitly not the best.
  
  Technical details:
  Made in Premiere 5. The digital effects are all home made. I hated the way the Premiere effects made the video look, so for scenes where the pictures run backwards, I actually took the clip apart frame by frame and reversed it. I REALLY need After Effects. There is also some subtile lyp-syncing. Every scene where the song goes "I talk to you sometimes..." I synced the "sometimes" so the characters are not flapping their lyps while no one is saying anything. Just makes it a tad cleaner. As for video codecs and stuff, I followed the ErMaC Way (tm) to the letter. I actually don't think the video looks that good, but I think I can blame the source, since at AnimeUSA I was comparing it mostly to movie and OVA footage. Also, the song is a download, which eventually leads to a really flat sound. I'll be ripping .wavs from now on.
  
  Side note: This video actually won the Upbeat Catagory at AnimeUSA 5. Scary. As always, I liked the other 2 videos in the catagory alot better (yes there were only 3) but there ya go.
