Personally I believe that this is the most mature AMV I have ever done. You will see some pretty good editing, nice timings and for my first time ever some visual effects.
Of course I really can’t say that it is something Too! Original, but it is really touching and does the trick.
On to technical specs, I used the DVDs of the “Chobits” series for footage, and “My Immortal” from “Fallen” by Evanescence.
You don’t have to worry, it’s not about that Chibi thing!! (That Kills lol), it actually is somewhat out of the ordinary, as I use characters from side stories. That means that there aren’t too many spoilers in here. Just some minor ones.
The Song on the other hand is not very common in AMVs but unfortunately I can’t say the same thing for the band. For the record, when I started this Amv some months ago, there was only one Music video with this song. (I think it was with Kenshin footage).
Now as for the video itself, it’s not just about trying to be cute and touching. I really try to get somewhere. If you‘ve watched “Chobits” you already know about the big dilemma that the series put you through. If you know nothing about “Chobits”, let me give you some guidance to help you understand this AMV better. In the world of "Cobits", Persocoms are humanoid personal computers, that are programmed to think and express feelings like humans. But as time passes, people start to be only with “It” instead of people, because they think that it is better a company. So through this AMV I try to look on both perspectives through the stories of two couples…or should I say three??
Anyways I don’t want to spoil the whole experience so that’s about that.
I would like to thank DWChang for his countless efforts to make me understand the basis of most of the effects used. Thanks Daniel. (By the way that Escaflowne AMV I promised is still under conceivement – Construction…Sorry )
I would also like to thank all the good guys at the forum that gave a lot of help during the encoding of this AMV. Thank you for been nice.
Special Thanks To Ermac AND Absolute Destiny for their Precious Guide. We where lost without it!!, but now we found our way…
This Video Is Dedicated to “Totula”
