Yep, the hopeless romantic in me strikes again ^_^
Cardcaptor Sakura is my all-time favorite anime, and perhaps my favorite television show of any genre. I can start watching this show after the absolute worst day ever, and I'll be smiling from ear to ear in seconds - it's one of the cutest things I've ever seen. Not surprisingly, my favorite aspect of the show is the heartwarming budding romance between Sakura and Syaoran, and this video is my personal, albeit completely unoriginal, telling of that story from Syaoran's point of view. It's just completely endearing and sweet to watch him. I know his situation all too well, and that conversation with Sakura on the swingset had to be incredibly difficult for him. His affections are so deep and honest that he's willing to keep them to himself to prevent Sakura from feeling sad, although it's fairly obvious that she has strong feelings towards him, too, even though she doesn't realize it. It's just so adorable! All I can say is that the second CCS movie kicks ass ^_^
The song I chose is Paul Carrack's cover of Jackie DeShannon's "When You Walk In The Room" - it's very simple, sweet, and honest, and it has something of a childlike innocence in it's feel, just like the romance itself. It's one of those songs that's sappy, but still brings a smile to my face.
