  • Comments: This video is dedicated to one of my all-time favorite male characters, Hayama, from one of my all-time favorite shoujo comedies, Kodomo no Omocha. It's not that big of a romance video, but it is based upon Hayama and Sana's relationship. The lyrics match pretty well, though of course what happens in the song and the anime are different in the 'end result.'

Okay, I'll be frank. I'm a much bigger fan of the show (and character) that this video is based upon rather than the song choice. That being said, I still think this video is one of my better works. The pace, themes, and lyrics of the song much up very well with the general craziness of Sana and Hayama's relationship (though of course what happens in the song isn't exactly what happens in the anime or this video).

A while back, I there used to be an Alluminum Studios music video done to Cowboy Bebop to the song "Larger than Life" by the Backstreet Boys. Obviously, a great deal of people automatically shunned the video. I was one of those who didn't, and gave it a shot...and, lo and behold, it's one of my favorite Bebop videos I've seen. This video basically contains the same sentiments from myself. If a video fits the song and contains enough fun and effort, then any song can not possibly hurt a music video. In terms of editing, this is probably my best yet. And many Kodocha fans who have 'braved' the song choice have all hailed it as being my best by far. If you're a Kodocha, Hayama, or romance/comedy fan, you'll definetly enjoy this video. And if you aren't...come on, give it a shot. The last thing I want is people to skip this video because of a song that, really, doesn't need to be hated to the degree it seems to.

On a technical stance, this video had to work with some so-so DVD footage of Kodocha that I had on hand. Some scenes had to be omited or changed because of static on the edges. Lip-synching wasn't exactly intended, but a few scenes wound up fitting a tiny, TINY bit, so I figure I might as well check it off, though I hope it's clear that I still am not much of a lip syncher ^_^
