• Comments: Almost certainly the last project I make with Premiere CS4 before finally moving on to CS6. Knowing that CS6 is not going to run on my new laptop (believe me, I've tried), I'm already eyeing other options for the future.
  
  This was the first time I ripped a song from YouTube for use in a video project instead of downloading a .wav file or ripping one from a CD. This song, or at least this version of the song, was never published on CD and isn't available digitally. I was a little worried that the audio would suffer from this compromise, but my ears don't perceive any shortcomings in it. I think the uploader of the track must have done a good job in digitalizing the recording, certainly better than I would have if I even possessed the source to attempt it with.
  
  This could be the best or the worst thing I've ever made, I really can't tell. I didn't spend much time polishing this beyond giving the lip sync a second pass--I never know how that's really going to look until I export and watch it outside of Premiere--and making some adjustments to one other shot. Maybe I'm being way too inconsistent with Ken Burns... or maybe mixing it up this unpredictably is the key to keeping it from getting tired and predictable? The more I think about it, to say nothing of actually looking at it, the less certain I feel about it at all. I probably worked on this on and off for four months, but I have no idea how long it actually took to make, if that makes any sense.
  
  This anime is ridiculous. I have not read any of Tezuka's Black Jack or seen the original anime adaptation of it, so I don't know how it stands up as an (unauthorized?) prequel.

  ^ So yeah, this existed. The Internet almost certainly was a generational mistake but I wouldn't have found out about them without it so I guess it all evens out in the end.
