• Comments: The big reason behind making this AMV was because of the deaths of both Leiji Matsumoto and Jim Kaposztas earlier this year (and Yoshinobu Nishizaki in 2010, who was the co-creator of Space Battleship Yamato with Matsumoto) And I also chose classic rock for the music for two reasons. One, I really like classic rock, and was looking to make more AMV‘s with classic rock in them anyway, and two, the music comes from the era that both Matsumoto and Jim worked in, so how appropriate to use that as the music as a sort of tribute to both of them!
  
  And also, I debuted this @ Derpycon @ my AMV panel because Jim Kaposztas was actually a staff member there last year, as was I, so I got to talk with him a bit. That's another reason why I made this AMV. And I intentionally used hard cuts for the scenes just like Jim and the other early AMV creators did. (even though we obviously have much better technology now)
