    Video content notes

    1. When I first heard "I Could If I Wanted To" (in the series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) I thought it was one of the best songs in the show. It captured the attitudes of a great number of people extremely well. Matching the song up with FLCL was something that came to mind recalling how dreary and frustrated Naota comes across.

    2. The video initially was going to be a bit more random and had less subtle meta commentary. The main survivor of the various original ideas was the choice to integrate The Girl Who Leapt Through Time as "The Girl Who Leapt Through Anime." I'll leave the rest up to viewer interpretation...

    3. This is my third 100% lip sync video (the others: 3 Sisters and a Big Robot make for a Great Anime & Zaibach Anthem).

    4. This is my first attempt at a ton of character masking. I do not envy anyone that ever has or ever will cut characters out of anime for any reason.

    5. The video naturally became like a long running coversation between Naota and Eri.

    Technical notes

    Software used: Adobe Premiere 2023 and Adobe Photoshop

    - I spent a whole lot more time in Photoshop than Premiere for this one.
